I have sent the late notice to QuickBooks Payroll assist and received a note back stating I'm responsible for the late fee and the $50.00 charge from quickbooks. Why am I being charged for either when Payroll assist is responsible for sending my State withholding in on time?

I'd like to help bring clarifications about the late fee accrued from your state as well as the charge from QuickBooks.
QuickBooks Payroll Assist will process your tax payments and forms after you've submitted your payroll data.
In the Community, we're unable to verify your account to check what causes the late fee for security reasons. I'd recommend contacting our QuickBooks Desktop Assisted Payroll Team. They can explain the reason for the late fee and can suggest what's the best thing to do in dealing with it.
