Let me help you set up your employee and schedule your payroll to run automatically in QuickBooks Online (QBO), wren16.
It's possible that the new employee isn't set up for Auto Payroll. If everyone on your team is salaried or hourly and works the same number of hours each pay period, Auto Payroll will generate paychecks for you automatically. Payday becomes one less thing to remember in your hectic schedule if you pay your employees via paper checks or direct deposit. Here's how to choose which employees you want to pay with Auto Payroll.
- Sign in to QuickBooks Online as the Primary Admin.
- Go to the Gear icon on the top menu, then Payroll Settings.
- In the Auto Payroll box, select the Edit icon.
- Tap Manage Auto Payroll.
- Choose the new employee you wish to pay on Auto Payroll. You'll only be able to select eligible employees.
- Hit Save Changes.
- Review the confirmation display for the total number of employees and important dates related to your Auto Payroll processing.
- Press Done.
We email you the details and timing for your upcoming payday two business days before Auto Payroll processes your payroll checks after your employees have been enrolled. After your Auto Payroll has been processed, we will send you another email. Then, sign in to QuickBooks Online to view or print paychecks once completed. Here's an article you can refer to for more insights about managing your Auto Payroll.
Feel free to visit our Payroll page for more insights about managing your payroll in the program.
I'd like to know how you get on after trying the steps as I want to ensure this is resolved for you. Just reply to this post and I'll get back to you. Take care always.
