Payroll Subscription Fee

This may be a silly question, but do the monthly Enhanced Payroll subscription fees that are deducted from my bank account get automatically added to Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2020 or do I need to manually deduct it by using the Write Check feature?

 

if I need to do it manually, what expense item in Chart of Accounts do I need to apply it to?

Hello there, @CathyBranch.

 

QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) automatically downloads the expense transaction (subscription fees) if you've connected your bank account using Bank Feeds. Once downloaded, you can now categorize it.

 

However, if your bank account is not connected, you can manually create the expense transactions using the Write Check feature. To do this, I'd recommend seeking assistance with your accountant to help you choose the right account you'll be using.

I would like to talk to someone on the telephone on how to renew my Payroll Fee Enhanced subscription that runs out on 4/23/2021. I have had someone send me links to support people and it doesnt work for me. I need to talk to a human being on the telephone.

You can get in touch with our representatives by going to the Help menu in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

 

Here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks file.
  2. Go to the Help menu, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Enter a brief description of your issue, then click Let's talk and then choose a way to connect with us.
