payroll update error 15263

QuickBooks payroll error 15263 occurs when the QuickBooks update is not completed successfully. Usually, the main cause behind this error is faulty internet settings.

We have here a few possible reasons behind the appearance of this error:

• Outdated operating system with corrupted drivers
• Downloading for untrusted site
• Corrupted software file
• Outdated Internet Explorer Versions
• Incorrect internet configuration
• Restriction from firewall and antivirus

To eliminate this error, let's restore the advanced settings of Internet Explorer:

Here's how:

1. Close QuickBooks Desktop.
2. Open Internet Explorer.
3. Go to the Gear icon in the upper right corner.
4. Select Internet options, and then click the Advanced tab.
5. Click Restore advanced settings.
6. Select OK and then Done.

Once done, open QuickBooks and run the payroll update again.

Chrome is my default brower, not IE

I've also tried QB file doctor and quick fix. the file doctor doesn't recognize my password. this is starting to be a real PIA. I just need someone from QB to call me and guide me step by step to file this

1. Go to the Help menu inside your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) account. 
2. Pick the QuickBooks Desktop Help option. 
3. Click the Contact Us hyperlink. 
4. Give a brief description of the issue (Error 15263) and hit Let's talk. 
5. Scroll down and choose to Get a callback.

I used another "path" to get payroll updates and it worked. I wish to express that maybe next time you state what the recommended "path" to payroll updates is first and this could've avoided a lot of frustration and extra time.
