Any specific issue?
Let’s see where shall I start? No support on Sunday. That’s a first. My accountant really wants me to use QB for my companies … but lord help a business owner that works on the weekend. Nope. No support. I tried to get my bank account to sync for hours today. Chat was an epic fail. There’s nothing in the FAQs and I paid for a subscription - for the second attempt - and cancelled it - but no refund. I used it for a few hours today, ruined my Sunday and yet - I get to pay for it for another month - chat said - we are only here for sales not support. Awesome - so apparently QB doesn’t realize that we work every day …. That’s two complaints. Third - I own several LLCs and QB requires I have a separate account at a separate expense for each … at $ hundreds per month. So I asked if I could get an accountant subscription - nope. Not unless your an accountant. Well I’m a real estate investor and open many LLCs for individual properties - do I really need to pay for a subscription for each? I have no employees, simple business model, and QB doesn’t care. Charming. I could go on but I think I have made my point.
So many - first of all syncing bank account - epic fail. No support on Sunday - sorry - only M-F bankers hours. Charming.
QuickBooks Community is 24/7 and their team (including other community members like me) may respond your questions. Try opening your QBO account on any private/incognito browser and run the bank feeds again.
One QBO account is for one company file. You can manage branches/divisions by utilizing the Class/Location feature available in QBO Plus and Advanced. Otherwise you should open a new account.

For your case, I would recommend QB Desktop to manage multi company files. You can purchase the one time license for QB Desktop 2021 or QB Desktop 2022 Accountant edition to lower your expense. You can setup a simple private cloud with a 3rd party solution if required.
Yes. Intuit in general offers absolutely the worst software and worst customer service I have ever experienced. They will delete this, I bet. They've deleted similar negative but constructive critiques I've posted recently -- even when they asked for feedback. Worse than the IRS, this company.

You should migrate your data immediately to another accounting app and purchase a 3rd party conversion service if required.
So it seems. I posted advice request on Facebook and many people said the same and suggested alternate software. Sorry QB - you’re expensive and difficult for a small business.
Is it true that even with the deal top version you get charged a annual fee every year?

You can still purchase the one time license for QB Desktop 2021 Pro/Premier or QB Desktop 2022 Accountant edition from some partners.
thanks for opening a thread for me to vent. quickbooks online and desktop are routinely awful to use, but I have to use them because they're what my clients use ... doing the simplest things on quickbooks is either super complicated or not even possible, and wastes a sh*t ton of time between googling fixes FOR BASIC SH*T .... my latest waste of time is simply trying to delete an account on quickbooks desktop but being told i can't delete it because it is being used for payroll BUT payroll isn't even activated! and there is no way to batch delete all the transactions unless i am using QBD 2018 like seriously??????? why is doing basic sh*t on this software so impossible?
This system is absolutely terrible for P.O.S. Crashing all the time. Freezing when trying to print. Can't copy and paste in certain fields. I could go on and on about how incredibly dated this system is.
I just moved to QB22 online from QB desktop19. Why did they change it so much????? 19 was quick and simple. Now you have to pay for everything. I was even thinking of going back to paper. I had a Safeguard check book and a One write billing system... But I know you cant do that today.... I am sorry they changed it sooooo much. And the one I bought is 500 a year..... QB was always the flagship of simple accounting software. I dont think that way anymore... I dont think I am alone in that thinking.
Hello there, @mgrant0606.
I want to make sure that you're able to get the most out of our product. Please know that this is not the service we want you to experience.
To get me on the same page, I’d like to know which part or QuickBooks feature you’re having a difficulty on. I’d also appreciate it if you provide a screenshot or more information of the changes in the program you’re referring to.
If you need any help with QuickBooks Online, I'm happy to lend a hand. Comment down below and I’ll get back to you.
I have been using QB Premier for several years and have finally bit the bullet and started using SAGE 100.
Product support by QB is nearly non existent, heavily accented offshore service people that have no idea of what they are doing.
The absolute worst company on the planet. Their upgrades make no sense whatsoever. They lock you out during the upgrades if you don't do it fast enough. They take you step by step terribly, and then when you call they have no answer for you. Worst customer service I've ever experienced, worst upgrading tactics I have ever seen. Garbage company, garbage employees, and obviously garbage management.
Quickbooks is infuriating and I wish there was a useful alternative. The database is so poorly designed that I have to assume their technical staff were unable to find employment in the prison system.
For example, there is no reason that I shouldn't be able to generate a lit of invoices. There is no reason I shouldn't be able to bulk cancel (or close) open PO's by date. There is an endless list of really stupid aspects of their design. I've used every version of desktop since the mid 90s.
Buying QB on line was the biggest mistake I've ever made in 40 years of running my own company!!!!!
Use QB Desktop then.
I only use QB online payroll. I can tell you it is almost as good as Intuit Online Payroll. I wished they had stayed with that format. QB is just clunkier and awkward. I used IOP for 12 year and I have used QB for over 3 months.
As far as support.... YES IT IS TERRIBLE!. I do not think they read the questions we ask. Also I get tired of all the lalala words. like "we are so sorry that you are having problems," or " we dont like to see you having problems". I suggest the support people just cut out the crap lalala words and answer the question. No one wants to wade through multiple sentences of lalala crap. I think sometimes the support people must get paid by word count.
Best Advice: Read our question. maybe try reading it several times aloud. But read it and reread and dont post a lalala crap. just cut to the chase and answer the question.
Yes...TERRIBLE! I have used every version of QuickBooks since version 2.0. I have helped 100s of businesses over the last 20+ years transition over to QuickBooks...and now I regret it. From basing the majority of the software on IE11 and refusing to get off of it, to blatantly trying to FORCE everyone over to the cloud, to releasing patches that break the entire system and REFUSING to help unless we pay for the software again...this is TERRIBLE. I don't care what your protocol is...my protocol says that being treated this way means I LEAVE. If I have to fire my accountant because he insists on me using this crap, so be it. If I have to, I'll go back to manual green sheets. I will NEVER accept hqaving to host my data elsewhere only to be locked out of it by an outage (or your willful interruption for whatever reason). My data will be housed locally or not at all. If you cannot maintain your software without breaking it...STOP TRYING TO MAINTAIN IT. I love the goldilocks mentality...Windows 7 is too old, Windows 11 is too new, Windows 10 is just right, but only if it isn't too new. Sheesh...what a joke. I love patches that fail to register DLLs, only to break the entire program backed by "support" that only exists to force you to their cloud version, force you to buy the latest greatest desktop version, or force you to buy a support plan that costs more than the software did. I think they send out these patches to purposely break the software to drum up new sales. The time to move to something else has been her for a while now. Some other company needs to step up and put this monstrosity down for good..we need a viable Quickbooks alternative because Intuit stopped listening a long time ago and just wants to do what every other company does now. They all want to collect your money and do nothing in return. It's pathetic

We haven't found a viable replacement for QBD Pro/Premier/Accountant. Every company prefers to develop cloud based apps now. Guaranteed revenue stream and hassle free dealing with cracked licenses. If you are using QBD Enterprise, we can recommend another brand to explore.
We migrated to Quickbooks Online in May 2022. We have had SO MANY PROBLEMS and their customer service is basically a waste of time. The chat agents don't appear to understand what you have typed to them or else they don't read what you have typed to them. Here are just a few of the problems we have experienced in the past month:
1. We followed step by step instructions to migrate our data from Desktop 2019 to Online. We clicked on a link from Desktop 2019 that gave us a 50% discount for 12 months. Somehow we found that we were set up for a trial even though the money for the first month came out of our account. I called to ask what was going on and they said that we would just go to regular billing after a month. I kept getting notices to sign up before the trial ended. I called again to ensure that we would transition into monthly billing. They said that everything was fine. After the month trial, we could access our data, but could not add invoices, payments, etc. After 6 hours of phone calls with QB, they finally determined that somehow we had two separate companies. Of course all of our data was in the one that had the trial and we were paying for the one with no data. After several more hours on the phone with them, I was told that they could no apply the discounted rate for one year to the company with all the data AND they could not move the data from one company to another. They said my best option was to re-migrate the data from Desktop 2019 to the account with no data. Of course, that would not include the hundreds of changes (invoices, payments, item corrections, etc.) that we had entered in the online version in the past month. We would need to re-enter all of that manually!!!! The only other option they offered was to pay for the trial account and they could give us a three month discount of half off. Unbelievable! It was obvious that the customer service reps were working from home because I could hear children in the background of several calls. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was told that supervisors just supervise the customer service reps. They don't really have the authority to do anything different.
2. None of the emails that were associated with the customer accounts in Desktop came over in the migration.
3. We had to completely reformat our invoices because the invoice template we were using was not available.
4. Our logos did not come over in the migration.
5. Every morning when we sign in, the Setup Guide says it is 0% complete, even though I have done all the steps multiple times. I have been forced to hide the setup guide every day because there is no option to dismiss it or make it go away, or stop it from asking you to do the same tasks that you have already done over and over and over.
I am sure there are other issues we haven't found yet. It seems obvious that the online version was created by programmers or designers and not actual Quickbooks users. If whoever designed the online version was forced to use it every day and deal with these problems, I am pretty sure they would change the design.
Until now, I thought Quickbooks was a great product. They have really gone downhill and don't seem to care at all about their customers.
