Thanks for reaching out to us, DeniseG.

QuickBooks Desktop can generate and file new hire form for your state. I'll show you how:

  1. Go to the Employees menu.
  2. Choose Payroll Center, then select the File Forms tab.
  3. In the File Forms section, choose the New Hire Form for your state.
  4. If the form is not there, click the Forms dropdown.
  5. Select Make a New Form Active.
  6. Next to State, choose Florida.
  7. Choose the form from the list, and select Add Form.
  8.  Click File Form, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

I'm also adding this article to learn how to electronically file your federal tax forms: E-file and e-pay forms and taxes.

Keep me posted if you have need more help in generating or filing your other reports. Have a good one.

E-file Florida New Hire Report?

I can help you with e-filing your report, @DeniseG.

For Florida, you can e-file and e-pay together. This means that e-payment and e-filing are created in the same step and sent to the state agency at the same time.

First, make sure to set up your QuickBooks Desktop Payroll account so you can electronically pay your state payroll taxes and file state forms. Then, register with your agency. They will provide you with an account number, your tax rates, deposit frequency, and if necessary, login credentials to their websites for payments and forms.

From here, you can set up scheduled payments and then set up an e-file in QuickBooks. For detailed guidance, check out steps 3 and step 4 in the following article: Set up state e-file and e-pay in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Enhanced.

After doing those steps, you can now file your state payroll tax forms and pay your state taxes electronically. See this article for more information: E-file and e-pay state forms and taxes in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Enhanced.

Then, check out this article for more information on how you check e-file or e-pay status from your account: Check e-file or e-pay status in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Enhanced.

I'm always here if you need further help e-filing your reports. Let me know by leaving a reply below. Keep safe and have a wonderful day!

E-file Florida New Hire Report?

Thanks for getting back to us in the Community, @DeniseG. I've got some information you need so you can e-file your new hire report in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

Beforehand, ensure to update your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release. This will fix any critical issues and sync all payroll information once you get the latest payroll tax table update

Once everything is set, you can get a new hire form from your QuickBooks Payroll product and file it with your state manually. Here’s how:

  1. Go to Employees, then Payroll Center.
  2. Select the File Forms tab.
  3. In the File Forms section, choose the New Hire Form for your state. If the form is not there:
    a. Select the Forms dropdown.
    b. Select Make a New Form Active.
    c. Next to State, choose your state.
    d. Select the form from the list, and select Add Form.
  4. Select File Form or Create Form.
  5. The Select Payroll Form window opens. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the form.

From there, you can now file it with your state agency. See this article for more details on how to access your state agency website: Payroll Tax Compliance Links.

Also, please check this guide here to learn more about new hire reporting in your product: Get a new hire report.

Additionally, I’ll be adding these resources for future reference about payroll tax payments and forms:

Please let me know if you need clarification about managing your payroll and forms in QBDT. I'll be standing by for your response. Have a great day and stay safe.
