Thank you for posting the instructions for Error 15270. I was able to follow the instructions and downloaded the new tax version 22011.
I have the 15270 error when trying to update my payroll. This is a new version of Quickbooks 2020 I just recently purchased. Why am I having these issues already? I ran the first set of instructions to fix the problem and its still says I have the error. Im uneasy about doing the second set of instructions. I do not want to lose any data.
I did the first set of instructions for my error 15270. It is still coming back up when I try and run payroll. I do not understand why I am having this trouble with a new quickbooks version. I do not feel comfortable running the second set of directions because I fear losing data. This has already happened to us since putting this on the computer.
Welcome to the thread, CMR2020. I appreciate you performing some steps to resolve the issue.
The Error 15270 is a connectivity error that shows up when the update wasn't completed.
If I may ask, is the second set of instructions your referring to is about downloading and installing the QuickBooks Tools Hub? If yes, need not to worry, this tool will help discover any updates, installation issues, network issues, program problems, and company file issues.
To complete the process, here's what you'll need to do:
Once done, from the Tools Hub, run the Quick Fix my Program.
