Help with employees accessing pay stubs

You can invite your employees so they can view or access their pay stubs in QuickBooks Workforce. If this is your  first time setting it up, you'll need to upload previous paychecks for the employees to view their pay stubs issued in the past. Refer to QuickBooks Workforce: Uploading historical paychecks.

Once done, you can now invite the employees to view their pay stubs. The steps to do this may differ depending on the payroll subscription you're using. I use QB Desktop. What if an employee's last name only has 2 or 3 letters as the password is the 1st four of the last name and last four of the SS#. How do I tell them to open their paystub in email? For example: if last name is Nia.
