Does that mean if I complete the payroll and submit before 5pm on Weds, that the employees would receive their pay in their accounts by Friday??
Thank you!
Lisa
Does that mean that if i process the payroll and submit for Direct Deposit before 5pm on Weds, then the employees would receive their pay in their bank accounts by that Friday??
Hi, @MetricMotorsTaos.
Thanks for getting back to us. Allow me to help share additional details about the direct deposit in QuickBooks.
As long as there are no holidays in between the direct deposit processing timeline, then yes, your employee will receive their pay by Friday. I'd like to provide you with further details through this helpful article: Set up direct deposit.
You can scroll down and check the processing timeline scenarios provided in this article. This should help you ensure that your deposits to your employees aren't delayed.

Ensuring your employees receive their payment on time is my priority. Allow me to provide you with some details about the processing timelines for QuickBooks Desktop direct deposit payroll.
The payroll should be submitted last Wednesday before 5 pm PST, at least two Federal banking days prior to the paycheck date.
To verify when you submit the payroll, here’s how:
Here’s how:
Once verified, I’d recommend letting your employee contact their bank to verify with them the exact time on when their payroll will be posted to their account.

Hello Sergiom1989,
Thank you for dropping by here in the Community. I can help you with your concern about processing payroll in QuickBooks.
If you submit your payroll on Fridays, your employees will get paid on Tuesdays. However, this will depend on if there are banking holidays in between when processing the paychecks.
If you're not sure on when to send payroll, I have a tool here that I'm sure you'll find helpful. Just choose the check date on the calendar and the system will show when is the last day you need to process it.

That's how long the ACH process takes.
Interesting. This is good for Bitcoin.
If the submission was on a Wednesday after 5pmPT - missed it by 40 min. Does that mean the direct deposit will show up Saturday? or Monday?
Thanks for joining us here, hollydazzle.
Direct Deposit does not process transactions during weekends. Following a 2-day time lead, the paycheck will be deposited in the employee's bank account on Monday.
Please take note that federal holidays also affects the timing when deposits are made. Please refer to these articles for more details:

Ive set the pay date for my employee to be on previous Friday, they got the email saying they will get funds on their account on previous Friday as well. Then they got the email they will get funds on Monday. It is end of Tuesday and there is no money on their account. Also on the Quickbooks paycheck list it says processed.
Thanks for posting to the Community, @tpisnik.
The bank account or routing number of the employee may have incorrectly entered when setting up a direct deposit payment.
To check this, you'll need to reach our Payroll Support team to verify it and ways to get the deposits posted into the right account. From there, they have tools to pull up your payroll account and assist you in getting this resolved.

Hi,
thank you for response.
It is/was not incorrect, because the paycheck was deposited on Friday on their account and same day it was also withdrawn by Quickbooks.
Hi @tpisnik,
I'll point you in the right direction for support with your query.
Since that's the case, I suggest contacting our Payroll Support team for further assistance. They can investigate as to why your employees haven't received their pay via direct deposit yet.
You can follow the steps provided by my colleague @Jovychris_A above.
