We are aware of this issue, and it's been submitted to our engineering team. Our engineers have released they are currently working on the payroll issue and stated to wait one hour and try submitting the payroll again.

I also have the same problem. It would not send and is still queued to send. But I received a Direct Deposit receipt via e-mail. I also chatted with support and they told me it was a known problem. That being said, how do I get out of the send queue without sending it again, I do not want to send it twice.

I appreciate you reaching out to our support team regarding sending payroll in QuickBooks Desktop. Since the direct deposit paychecks are still in the queue, let's uncheck the Direct Deposit option from the paycheck to remove it from the sending queue. Here's how:

The Community is not able to check the updates of the investigation, I'd recommend contacting our QuickBooks Technical Support team to add you to the list of the affected users about sending your payroll.
Our Support Team is available every Monday to Friday 6 AM – 6 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST) and on a Saturday from 6 AM – 3 PM PST.
As soon as there's an update about this issue, an email will be sent to you to assure you're up to date with the progress of the investigation.

I have been contacting technical support almost everyday. I have two payrolls that need to be fixed and a third one coming up. I just want to know when and if this issue is resolved because it is not resolved on my end. Thank you.

I know how important to process payroll on time. We wanted to help you and the rest of the affected users. However, we’re unable to provide you a specific time frame for when it will be resolved. Rest assured, our engineers are working hard to get you back to work as soon as possible. I recommend checking your email from time to time or give our support team a call for follow-up.

I can’t send my payroll. I am having the system stuck in “receiving data”. What is going on? I tried updating, I tried moving our company file, I tried turning off firewalls and cloud option.

We've been having this issue for over a year now. Sometimes it will go through by rebooting the computer but that's not even working any more. I have spent hours on the phone with QB support over the last year. Sometimes I get someone that knows what they are doing and we can get it to work but nothing so far has been a permanent solution to this problem.
I'm sorry, but it's time this problem gets fixed for good!

To begin with, please ensure your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) is updated to the latest release. This way, the program is running with the newest features and fixes. I'll show you how:
Then, download the latest payroll tax table to ensure you have the newest rates and calculations.

Thank you for your reply but this has been done many times with no positive results.
I did this again exactly how you laid it out and when trying to do payroll updates I got the following error:
Internet connection error.
Server unavailable. [IC 67186407]
I appreciate your effort but I've been down the rabbit hole on this one and there has never been a permanent solution to this issue. If you have access to my past history of service calls you might see what has been tried by multiple of your team members.
It just seems like no matter what I do it just won't communicate with intuit consistently and I've been through all of the articles on modifying my internet connection setup and even tried turning off my firewall on one occasion.
In one instance we even sent a command to reset my network switch and that worked once. Now my QB computer is hardwired directly to the router completely bypassing the network switch.
I hope you can appreciate how frustrating this is. I run a small business and don't have an IT department I can hand this off to so I really need you to help me get this fixed!
