Join nowI have been using QB for a long time and all of a sudden this month paychecks are off 1 line. I am using pre-printed forms with the paycheck and stubs underneath. All of the info is printing one line below where it used to. I am not updated anything and not sure how to correct. Updating the alignment settings did not work. Any insight is appreciated.
Let me sort things out for you, @donaldhook.
Since you already updated the alignment settings, we can perform other troubleshooting steps to fix this. Before we start, ensure that QuickBooks is updated to the latest release. Check also your printer if it's connected to your computer.
After you print test, you can do the following steps:
If the printer is a network printer and the test page does not print, network issues could be the cause.
You can also use the QuickBooks Tool Hub to fix some common printing issues.
For additional information, you can check this article on how to troubleshoot some problems when printing: Resolve printing issues.
You'll also want to print pay stubs in QuickBooks Desktop. Feel free to check this article: Print your employee's pay stubs.
Feel free to let me know how it goes. I'm here to help if you need clarification with the process. Have a great day.
Thanks Rubielyn...
I have had QB for several years and never had an issue.
Have restarted the laptop and printer several times to no avail.
Downloaded QB Tools Hub and reloaded the pdf drivers, to no avail
Modified the alignment settings ... -1 to -33 ... did not change anything
Was with support for an hour and a half yesterday ... they could not find anything
To me, it seems like a software update of some kind, but not sure which software. Is not the OS or Adobe ...
Thanks for getting back to us, @donaldhook
Since the issue persists even after following the steps shared by my colleague Rubielyn above, I highly suggest contacting our Phone Support team again.
I know you already called, but they have tools that can pull up your account in a secure environment and check the cause of this odd behavior. They can also open a ticket and forward it to our Product Engineers and conduct further investigation.
Here's how to reach them:
I'll also add these articles that tackle printing paychecks and resolving issues you may encounter during the process:
Please let me know how the call goes or if you have any other issues or concerns. I want to make sure everything is taken care of for you. I'm always here to assist. Have an amazing rest of the day!
