I have Assisted Payroll and I had this same issue and went through many attempts with tech support to fix the issue by doing payroll updates, Quickbooks desktop updates, resetting updates, running Windows Update, clearing Microsoft Edge cache, rebuilding the company file, etc. She then passed me to Level 2 support and was told it was a known issue and Level 2 support did something on their end that fixed it immediately.
Quickbooks has tons of issues, would not recommend using them for a large business
Terrible terrible issue.....I have had it more than once.....Why not tell everyone why it occurs. So if you update an employee before you run your next payroll send a 0 payroll. Then this will not happen. SHAME ON QB for not giving a warning internally about this.
