I am using Office 365 and QuickBooks Pro 2018 Desktop, When I try to select outlook as my way of sending emails it always pops up saying install outlook client to enable this option. I have set all the program defaults to use outlook but I cannot get QuickBooks to see outlook. Please help.
I've been having the same issue when I transferred my QB 2016 Desktop version to a new computer with Windows 10 using Office 365. I get 'install outlook client to enable this option' when I try to use Outlook to send forms. I have Outlook set as my default e-mail also.
Same issue (QB 2016Pro, R17; new computer with Windows 10 and Office 365)
My QB has started doing this as well after a Windows update. I've tried all suggestions I've been able to find with no luck...
Hey there, @Farmer.
Thanks for following the thread.
To clarify, what year and version of QuickBooks do you currently have? For example, 2019,2020, Etc. While I await your response, let's try some troubleshooting steps to cover the basics. First, you'll need to uninstall QuickBooks and Microsoft Office. Then, reinstall QuickBooks and Mircosoft Office in that order. This should reverse the issue and allow you to use Outlook again. I've included the links that contain the steps below to do this.
If you have tried these steps, then I recommend contacting our technical support team so they can investigate this issue further. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for your response. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. You can reach out to the Community any time. We're always here for you. Take care!
