A warm welcome to the Community, jray2629.
We're receiving reports that other users are getting this error as well. Our engineers are actively working to get this issue resolved.
I’d encourage you to get in touch with our QuickBooks Desktop Support and have them attach your case to INV-34649, so they can add your account information to the notification list. Any progress will be communicated via email.
For now, as a workaround, you can toggle the status of the missing employees to inactive and change it back to active.
After that, please go back to the invite page and check if the Employee name will show in the list.

Same problem. I tried to contact support to tell them I am having the same issue, included " attach your case to INV-34649". Got the same suggestion of making the employee Active, then QB froze and I lost that chat. So that's what I am doing for now and I sent out the invites - but my question is, when can I switch those employees back to Inactive? Can I do so right away after the invite has been sent or do I have to wait until they have signed up and accessed the cloud payroll service?
Hi there, @mommas86.
We want this issue sorted out as soon as possible so you can invite your employees to access the Workforce. Rest assured, we are treating this investigation as a top priority.
For your clarification, I recommend you keep the employees' status active until they signed up and accessed the cloud payroll service. Getting information about what to do next, as well as to answer you for any additional questions related to this issue, I still suggest seeking advice from our Payroll Support.
In case you're not able to provide your company details since you lost the chat, please make sure to contact us again in your available time so we can add you to the notification list. This way, you'll be notified of any updates on the progress of the investigation via email.

I'm having this problem in 2021. Not all of my employees are listed and I need to resend their invites. How do I do that if they are active as an employee, but don't show up on my list to invite them?
Our engineers are continually working on a permanent fix to this issue, Sheri1.
