Why does support just hang up the phone when Intuit makes a mistake they don't know how to fix?

Intuit confirmed, in a chat, that a payroll entry (for auto deposit) would NOT be processed. But the system still processed the payment (for a former employee). When we contact support for an explanation, and how they proposed to resolve the unauthorized removal of funds from our bank account, they are unable to provide any answer. So instead of escalating the issue they just hang up on the call. 1. Why doesn't Intuit take responsibility for their error? 2. What does Intuit think is the right remedy where they make an unauthorized withdrawal of funds? 3. Why do they hang up the phone on the customer instead of escalating the call to management?

Why does support just hang up the phone when Intuit makes a mistake they don't know how to fix?

Further update.  Quickbooks issued multiple payroll checks AFTER a former employee was deactivated.  And, so far, they can't explain why they made unauthorized withdrawals from our account to fund those unauthorized paychecks.

This isn't the kind of service we want you to experience, @BLG2018.

Rest assured that I'm making it a priority about the phone support experience reaches our supervisors.

About the unauthorized withdrawals, as much as I would like to assist you, we're able to access your account here in the Community forum. Thus, I recommend contacting our Payroll Support again. This way, we can process a request for reversal and do a trace for your payroll account.

Here's how to reach out:

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter a brief description of the issue, then tap Continue.
  4. Click either Chat or Callback.

Learn more about the reversal in this article: Reverse a direct deposit.

Also, here's a link that covers all tasks you can do when using the payroll feature. Just look for a response that'll fit your concern.

Please don't hesitate to reply to this thread if you have follow-up questions or concerns about payroll. I'll be around to help. Have a good one.

Shiella @ShiellaGraceA :

I am unable to log in. Your servers are returning a 404. I have contacted support by chat twice. The first time the agent disconnected immediately, without saying a word. I spent 45 minutes with the second agent and they disconnected randomly without resolving the issue.

How do I resolve this issue? How do I contact support by phone, bearing in mind that I cannot login?

Thanks for joining in this thread, @mcrich. This isn't the kind of service we want you to experience. I'm here to help you get past this issue.

Based on my research, you'll get error 404 when you follow a broken or dead link. Let's ensure you're visiting the correct QuickBooks Online log-in page. Here's the link: https://c37.qbo.intuit.com/qbo37/login

If you're still getting the same error, I'd suggest you use another supported, up-to-date browser. If the issue persists, please contact our Customer Care team to help you check what's causing this to happen and help you fix it.

Since you're unable to log in, you can follow this process to get in touch with us:

  1. From the sign-in page, select I forgot my user ID or Password.
  2. Select Try Something Else.
  3. Select Talk to an expert.
  4. Enter details in the required fields.
  5. Hit Submit to connect to an expert via Chat.

For future reference, you can also check out this article in case you'll need some easy steps in fixing sign-in issues: Get help if you can't sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.

Get back to me if you have additional concerns. I'd be glad to attend to your next post.

Why does support just hang up the phone when Intuit makes a mistake they don't know how to fix?

3/3/2022 - Intuit Help keeps hanging up on me when they don't know what to do.

First call and Marlin didn't know how to process a customer refund so after 6 minutes just hung up.

I called back and talked to Jello who helped me through several discussions and yet she too didn't understand enough about QuickBooks Online and so after 55 minutes, the remote assistance into my machine disappeared and she too hung up on my phone call.

Why am I paying so much for QuickBooks Online only to receive this kind of treatment???? I'm not happy!!!

Why does support just hang up the phone when Intuit makes a mistake they don't know how to fix?

I am having this very problem right now.  I cannot apply Landed Costs to my bills.  I have a bill that has 52 items and I need to "manually" apply the S&H landed costs, however, it has me blocked from seeing about 6 items.  The cursor just jumps over them.  I have tried everything and cannot get to those items, thus causing the transaction to not balance and be able to saved.  I'm beyond frustrated and have spent HOURS trying to find a workaround to no avail.  I attempted to call Intuit three times on Friday 6/3 all 3 times I was ironically dropped.  I have called Right Networks and they have attempted twice to get Intuit on with us and both times Intuit just disconnected from the call.  I don't know what else to do.  I don't know a work around.  I NEED to have Landed Cost properly dispersed.
