Does or has anyone had a direct deposit fail with the error code C=10000 - what is the solution?

Hello there, @lkibler

This error usually appears if the file is incorrectly read. Let's perform some troubleshooting steps below to get this fixed:

Here's how:

  1. Go to Windows.
  2. Choose Task Manager.
  3. Select QuickBooks Account.
  4. Hit End task.

If the issue persists, you can run a Verify and a Rebuild to verifying the file helps detect the damaged data and Rebuilding it fixes the damaged data detected.

Verify data:

  1. Go to File, then Utilities and choose Verify Data.

If it will detect an error, proceed and Rebuild your data:

  1. Go back to File menu and then Utilities and select Rebuild Data.
  2. Choose OK if you’ll receive a message to back-up your company file.
  3. After creating the back-up file, the Rebuild Data utility will run automatically.
  4. Click OK when you get the message Rebuild has completed.
  5.

For detailed guidance, see this article: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop .

There are a bunch of solutions I can share to help if the rebuild data doesn't work, @dh2325.

If the Rebuild data file doesn't work, we can perform other troubleshooting to fix the issue. In case you encounter the same error above about direct deposit error code C=1000, you'll have to update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release and log into the company file as the admin.

Also, you can follow these recommended steps to fix this issue:

Let's start by running the repair tool in QuickBooks. Using this will help you fix common errors right away.

If you're still getting the same issue, you can do a clean install of the QBDT program. This will help you clean any data damage in your company file so you can get back your business. Once done, reinstall QuickBooks Desktop again.

Once everything is all set, you can utilize these articles for guidance in setting up direct deposit in QBDT:

Additionally, you can run the Payroll Summary report in QBDT. This will show the payroll items with a subtotal for a net pay for a specific period. Just go to Reports and select Employees and Payroll. Then, click Payroll Summary.

Keep me posted on how things turn out. I'll be around to help if you need further assistance. Have a good one, @dh2325.

I received this error message.  RightNetworks IT repaired the issue - stating that I had a "stuck" report.  He resolved the issue by opening QB in 'suppressed windows' mode.  Not sure what that means, but was super fast/easy.  No rebuild required.
