I love the suggestion that users check the QuickBooks blog "regularly." That suggestion was made 20 months ago...and still no implementation of this feature. This does not seem like a difficult feature to add.
Add me to the list of users who inherited a bunch of middle-page check stock!
I will add my voice as a new QuickBooks customer (Feb 21): Please add middle stock checks. Brian
I too need this feature, this seems like a simple fix to satisfy so many complaints.

It would be great if this feature was available since users have been asking for years. The support for desktop is getting quite disappointing.
When will QB do the update so we can use middle check stock
Hello there, Resort.
We're unable to tell as to when this feature will be added to QuickBooks Online. However, you can track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.
In the meantime, you can use checks that are compatible with QuickBooks. Learn how to buy preprinted checks from QuickBooks Checks Supplies.
I'm just a post-away if ever you need help. Take care!
Adrian A: This is an answer, but from a user standpoint not a very good answer. It seems, as mighty a company as Intuit is, that the lack of middle check printing is a WILL issue, not a SKILL issue.
For my equally frustrated comrades, there may be a workaround, at least it works for me: I remove the top section of my checks, and place the remaining sheet in my laser printer/copier.

Hi,
This blog post seems to answer the original question regarding the use of middle checks and QuickBooks Online.
https://www.chax.com/blog/quickbooks/online/can-qb-online-print-middle-stock-checks/
The software add-on is called Multichax and it will allow users to use checks in the middle (or bottom too).
Disclaimer: I work for the Multichax tech support team
Cheers
Your reply is totally unacceptable as INTUIT should be able to provide the ability to chance the check voucher format. I recently took on 3 new companies and all 3 use the voucher with the check in the middle. WHEN we be able to print? I'm having to hand write checks at the moment...and this is totally unacceptable.
How do you get around QB assigning a check number? I'm new to QB, have Sage checks with the numbers preprinted on them. Please help. Thanks.
It's my pleasure to help you with removing the check number, @GoKGo.
You can check the Print later box underneath the Check no. field. This will automatically remove the assigned check number and replaced it with To print. The option to permanently turn it off is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online.
I'd be happy to provide you this article to help guide you in printing your checks in the future: How to print checks.

Thanks but I am on desktop 2020 and it is not configured this way. The do not print is on the top of the screen, not in the body of the check below the check number as you state. Help! Thx.

What Maybelle_S mentioned is for QuickBooks Online (QBO) since the users in this thread are QBO subscribers.
When writing a check in QuickBooks Desktop, you can remove the checkmark in the Print later box. Then, you'll notice that the NO. field is now editable. You can remove it or enter your own check number preference.

Thanks, Alex. Here is the issue... when I go to print the check, a dialogue box comes up and it forces me to input a check number. Is there a set-up to avoid this? Thanks.
Thanks for getting back to this thread, @GKG1.
Allow me to step in and provide information when printing checks in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
For the system not to prompt you to enter a check number when printing checks, you'll have to check the Print Later option when creating the transaction.

Thanks, Miriam. I tried that but when I went to print, a dialogue box came up and asked for a check number. I could not proceed unless I added one. Help!!!
I do appreciate you for keeping us posted, GKG1.
QuickBooks prompts you to enter a Printed Check Number to keep track of your checks being printed within the system. If you don't want a check number is printed on your actual checks, you can uncheck the Print Later option and remove the number in the NO. field on the Write Checks window.
You'll want to get secure and gauranteed checks that are compatible with QuickBooks at our Intuit Market. To help you manage your checks, you can visit the links shared by my colleagues. It also provides how Checks are being set up and used in QuickBooks Desktop.
