I read a tread about this but I didn't see really where it was actually fixed.
I have QB Pro 2019 desktop. I just got a new computer and transferred everything from one computer to the next. Now the entire home screen as little baby icons. Words are smaller, etc. I'm not talking about font size on reports either. Can anyone help with this? It's a brand new Dell laptop. All the programs outside of QB are just fine/normal icons, etc.

In my case when I entered the Application Properties Menu.... Inside the Compatibility tab... Change high DPI settings and then "Override high DPI sacaling behavior. Scaling performed by:" (Select System (Enhanced) )
And it worked!
I am using Premier Plus Contractor edition 2022 and tried all steps mentioned with no luck. Any other suggestions? Thank You!
Hello- I have the same issue, on a new Windows 11 with Desktop Pro Plus 2022. All text on every screen extremely small, difficult to read (it was fine on my old Windows 10 computer). I tried all the instructions with no improvement (although I can make the text on all other Windows programs larger if needed). I tried QB "Help" for support 3 times with no success for a solution at Level 1. I really would like to contact your Level 2 support but cannot seem to get through to them. How do I escalate the support to fix this issue?
Thanks!
This isn't the impression we want to leave you with, @pleaseconnectto Level2.
Let me help you help you in fixing the display issue in QuickBooks. To confirm, have you tried running our QuickBooks Tool Hub? If not, please download and run our Advanced Tools. This tools help resolved common Windows-related error within the program. Let me walk you through how to do it.
It'll takes 2-3 minutes to complete. After that, restart your computer and QuickBooks. Then, check if everything is still small on your screen.

Thanks Shiella for your prompt reply! Yes I do have QB Tool Hub installed, but the Advanced Tools tab seems to be just a shortcut to the Windows Settings--Display Settings for "Scale" and "Display Resolution" (neither of which are a long term solution- larger text, but very blurry and just as hard on the eyesight), which I tried with Level 1 QB Support. The Level 2 Support I requested several times also yesterday has not yet gotten back to me, so I was hoping someone on this blog might have a solution? You mentioned checking the Data File? Is this the File Doctor tab on the Tool Hub?
A long term fix for my new higher resolution monitor (1920 x 1080) on Windows 11 is adjusting the "Text Size" sliding tool (Settings--Accessibility). It increases the text successfully in all of my other programs, files, browsers, etc. except it does not change the text size in QuickBooks!
I will try contacting QB Support again as you advise, but it is frustrating when only Level 1 Support calls me back, instead of Level 2 as requested.
Thanks again for your reply!
I too am having the same issue as @pleaseconnectto Level2 I just got a new PC however my monitor has not changed and everything on my Quickbooks Pro 2023 is tiny. The only solution, which does not work, is to change the windows settings display. This changes the settings in the rest of my PC but not Quickbooks. Please help! as I can barely read my screen.

I tried to do this on my own with the comparability settings. I cannot pay my taxes because of the issue because the text is completely unable to use. I also called Quickbooks and they could not resolve.
This is not solving the problem. Also called QB for another issue, but they were unable to solve this one. I am unable to pay my taxes bc the box and text is small and warped.
they attempted to change my computer settings, but that changes all of your programs. The comparability through properties, also does not solve the issue. I am running on QB pro 2023.
Hi there, @Jtsunshine33914.
I'm here to help you provide troubleshooting steps to fix the text so you'll be able to pay your taxes.
The steps shared by my colleagues in the thread will help you fix display issues in QuickBooks Desktop. To isolate this one, did you open a sample file and check if it's the same? Opening a sample file will help you identify if it's with your company file or the QuickBooks application.
To open a sample file, follow the steps below:
Then, I'd suggest running the Verify/Rebuild Utility Tools. This process is use to fix common data issues and unexpected behavior within the file.
Before we start, please secure a backup of your company.
To run the verify utility:
To run the rebuild utility:
Once done, close and re-open the company file, then log in as the company Admin. Here's an article that'll serve as your step by step guide in resolving common data damage on your company file: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop.

Hi
1. Issue is occurring in sample file.
2. created a b/u of my company file.
3. Utilities > Verify data - no issues.
4. Rebuild data > no issues.
5. QB is updated to the newest release.
The problem occurred once before, i was able to fix it using the first methods mentioned in this article. I went through all of the steps you listed, and the problem is persisting. It happened this time, after the QB helpdesk downloaded the 2023 version to solve a different issue, i was using the 2022 previously.
Icons are all very small as well. When i open the QB help, the letter are enormous so i can not use QB help through the program.
The issue is not how to pay the taxes, the issue is the text is so tiny and squished, like in the photo. I am aware i can file them online, however, i have taken the time to set up QB as to omit that process.
What else can i do? Last time i called, i was on the phone for over 2 hours, i do not have that kind of time to dedicate to this issue.
thank you for your help!

After CS was unable to figure it out, I continued trying…What finally worked was:
COMPATABILITY —-> Change high DPI settings
Click —>Program DPI (Use this setting to fix scaling issues…)
Click —>High DPI Scaling Override —> Scaling Performed by SYSTEM(Enhanced)
When scaling was set to “By Application” it would not scale the icons properly in QB.
I also have DPI Set to display when “I logged into Windows” but not sure if that matters…
For a program charging me $1200/year, you would think they would make it work with modern monitor resolutions…
THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH! THis worked! I have been trying to resolve this issue for weeks, and this is the correct settings for this issue. Thank you so much for posting!
THANK YOU AGAIN! This fixed the problem. Not sure if my reply went through last time I tried.
Your solution worked for me too after all the others failed. Thank you for sharing this!
