I am on QBO Plus, but I cannot add an inventory item to products, neither change an existing product to inventory.
I called two QB experts each for 1h, first one told me it is my account issue, ask me to change my primary account, second one says if I use Quickbook Commerce, I won't be able to manage inventory in my QBO.
I don't think they understand the problem. Did anyone encounter this before?

Let me add some insights about creating inventory after setting up to QuickBooks Commerce, @ttlancher.
The second agent was right. Once you set up your QuickBooks Commerce, you will not have an option to manage products in QBO. The reason for this is that QuickBooks Commerce has another way on how to set this up.
What we can do is add the product to your QuickBooks Commerce. Remember also that when setting up your items, it must reflect your business.
To add the product manually, here's how:
If your sales channel is connected to QuickBooks Commerce, you can add your products to your inventory. For detailed steps, please see this article: Get started with your inventory in QuickBooks Commerce. It covers some ideas on how to handle products and a relevant video you can use for visual reference.
I'm also adding this link to help you access and set up QuickBooks Commerce from within QuickBooks Online. It includes relevant information on how you can explore the product.
Hope that clarifies everything. If you have other questions about creating inventory, just let me know in the comment section. I'll be around to help you. Have a pleasant day.

I do have another question that, I found I am not so satisfied with quickbook commerce, so that I might turn if off and manage everything in the QBO. I can help you with your login issues, CR2652.
Whenever you log in to your QuickBooks Online account, ensure that it's that correct website and login credentials. Also, your browser may be full of frequently accessed page resources, thus causing unusual responses. To isolate this, you can log in to your account using an incognito or private browser. If it works, I recommend going back to your default browser and clearing its cache. This process aims to speed up your overall browsing experience and see the latest info. If the issue persists, you can use another compatible browser.

I'm just checking on this subject to see if the problem was solved after doing what the moderator instructed to. Because I'm having the same trouble now that Quickbooks Commerce is been discontinued and I can't get Quickbooks Online to track my inventory.
I have already cancelled my Quickbooks Commerce Subscription but it is still telling me they won't cancel it until the 29th. Is there anything else I could do to add inventory products to my Quickbooks Online account?
Hi there, @Caio_ls. I understand how crucial it is to keep your inventory details. I'm here to add information about the QuickBooks Commerce discontinuation and how you can add your inventory to QuickBooks Online.
QuickBooks Commerce will remain accessible until the end of your payment period. This is why your getting a message that your cancellation schedule will be on July 29. With that said, I recommend you export all your QuickBooks Commerce data in bulk using the Data Exporter tool. Feel free to follow these steps to access the tool.
