After you generate the 1099s in QB, how long does it take for them to be mailed to the recipient? I generated 1099s on 1/6 and no one has received them yet.

I efiled the 1099's via quickbooks, but they were rejected by the IRS. Will they still be mailed/emailed to the contractor? I see it says recipients copy emailed/mailed. I corrected the address issue, and also wondering how I would re-submiit. I read that I have to void and resubmit but there isn't a void button anywhere.
Hi there,
If you have submitted your 1099 E-File forms, you can expect to receive a confirmation email roughly a week after the IRS accepts and verifies your submissions.
To verify whether your contractor receives a copy of the forms via email or mail, I recommend reaching out to them directly. Then, to help you amend your 1099 forms, I suggest reaching out to our Customer Care Team. They have the tools to pull up your account in a secured environment and further check why the void button isn't showing anywhere.
To reach them, click the ? Help button at the top-right corner of your QBO account and select Contact Us to talk with a live agent. Ensure to review their support hours to know when agents are available.

What return address does Quick Books use when printing and mailing my Contractors 1099 forms. I have a few that were mailed in Jan that have not been received yet.
Hello there, jbloodworthva. I understand how important it is for you and your contractors to receive the mailed 1099 forms in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Let me shed some light on your concern today.
To start, please note that the return address that QBO uses is the business address you've associated with your payroll. It's where they'll send important tax documents and notices.
You can easily review the setup from your Payroll settings if you pay and file directly with federal and state agencies. You can also follow these steps if you need to update your business info:
Otherwise, contact us to update your business name and address if Intuit pays and files taxes and forms for you.
If everything's accurate after checking it, you may consider printing the form from the Taxes page if you've e-flied them with us. Here's how:
Refer to this article for more information: Print your 1099 and 1096 forms.
Nonetheless, you can always get in touch with our Customer Care Team for further assistance with reviewing your return address setup and verifying what happened to your 1099 forms. Refer to this article for more details: Contact Payroll Support.
Don't hesitate to reply anytime with further questions or clarifications about the 1099 forms in QBO. I'm more than happy to lend a helping hand. Keep safe!
I E-filed 1099's for my client. The status shows "mailed" to recipient. I did not pay for Print & mail service. Can I assume that QBO will print & mail a 1099 to each recipient, or do I need to print and mail them myself for 2024? Has anything changed from last year? Last year they were mailed out as part of the Efile cost.
That's a good question, JAA99. Yes, the 1099 form will be sent to your recipients as it is included in the service. I can provide some additional information about our 1099 e-file services.
The delivery of your 1099 forms depends a bit on the type of payroll subscription you have. With the Elite Payroll Subscription, there are a couple of convenient options for you. You can choose to have QuickBooks handle the printing and mailing of each form for a fee of $14.99 per form. Or, if you prefer, you can print and mail the 1099 forms yourself for just $4 per form. Both options are designed to make the process as smooth and flexible for you as possible.
