I cant log in through my QB account because it disappeared off the face of the computer world (at least mine).

Since your QBO account seems to have disappeared, make sure that your computer has a stable internet connection. Connectivity issues can sometimes prevent access to online services.

 

If your connection is stable, your browser's cache build-up might be causing the issue. QBO uses browser cache and cookies that can sometimes block web pages from loading. To clean this up, open your account in a private window by using these keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N

 

If you’re able to access your account, return to your regular browser and clear its cache to refresh the system. If the issue remains, the browser you're using may have compatibility issues. For optimal results, we recommend using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. I am having one desktop where every time to login the QuickBooks online QuickBooks code is asking and every time how can we ask someone to help us with the code.

If you’re prompted to verify your account with each login, it’s due to Two-Step Authentication being enabled on your account. This multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security by requiring a one-time confirmation code sent to your email or phone, thereby helping to protect your password. Should you prefer to disable this feature, please follow the steps outlined below:

 

  1. Sign in to your Intuit Account and select the Sign in & security tab.
  2. In the 2-step verification section, Turn off the Use 2-step verification switch.
  3. Enter your account password, then select Continue.
  4. A message reads that 2-step verification is now off. You’ll also receive an email confirming your security preference update.

Furthermore, you can check your browser's settings to prevent your history from being cleared when the browser is closed.

 

  1. Open Chrome Settings from the 3 dots icon, and then choose Settings.
  2. Click on Privacy and Security and navigate to Site Settings.
  3. Select Additional Content Setting from the menu.
  4. Click On-device Site Data.
  5. Ensure that the Allow sites to save data on your device button is toggled.

I am attempting to log into Quickbooks desktop to do weekly payroll and a ! comes up saying "hold tight. We are updating Quickbooks desktop. THis may take a few minutes.  I have waited oer an hour and still unable to get the Log in page to come up so I can log into my QB

To begin with, please ensure that your internet connection is stable, as connectivity issues can prevent you from logging in.


If your connection is stable and you're still facing issues, let's try forcing QuickBooks to close. This can help refresh the application and eliminate any unresponsiveness. Here’s how to do it:

 

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open the Task Manager.
  2. Locate QuickBooks in the list of processes.
  3. Select it and click on End Task.
  4. Once this is done, relaunch QuickBooks as an administrator.


Moreover, If the above steps don’t resolve the issue, I recommend using the QuickBooks Tool Hub. This tool can help fix common software problems. Here’s how to get started:

 

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. We recommend you download the most recent version (1.4.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop). Note: If you've already installed Tool Hub before, you can find out which version you have. Select the Home tab. The version will be displayed on the bottom right, or you can select About to view the version.
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When the installation finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

 

If you can't find the icon, do a search in Windows for QuickBooks Tool Hub and then select the program. Once done, you'll want to run the Quick Fix my program from the Tool Hub. Here's how:

 

  1. In the QuickBooks Tool Hub, select Program Problems.
  2. Select Quick Fix my Program.
  3. Start QuickBooks Desktop and open your data file.
