Quickbooks subscription has expired pop-up error

Today I opened Quickbooks and I got a pop-up message saying "Quickbooks subscription has expired. You will lose access to Quickbooks within 7 days. Add billing information to complete the payment and renew your subscription".

This is an error because last month I renewed my subscription. I currently have Quickbooks 2024 Desktop Pro Plus "annual subscription". After getting this pop-up I logged into CAMPs and verified my subscription and payment. My subscription is good until February 2026.

After verifying that information I hit the cancel button on the pop-up which then let me log into Quickbooks. I then proceed to the Company Tab and selected My Company to verify the license #, product #, and active status which were all correct. I then manually updated Quickbooks and then also did a reset update.

After reviewing other support forums other people were having the same issue with no help or solutions.

I then called customer support which they did validate I had a current subscription until 2026. They also told me to update Quickbooks which I did again. They were not able to tell me why I was getting the pop-up message and if the update would fix the issue. I am worried that I will open Quickbooks tomorrow and I will get another pop-up saying now I will only have 6 days.

Is there anyone having this problem recently and any fixes. I cannot afford to have Quickbooks go down especially with what it costs. To have this issue is very concerning with not much help from customer support.

You should be fine. It's probably just a glitch while your program connected to Intuit's servers to verify the license.

I understand that seeing a pop-up about your QuickBooks subscription expiring can be alarming, especially after renewing. Rest assured, as long as your subscription is current, you will retain full access to QuickBooks. I’ll provide more details about this situation.

The message you're seeing is due to your recent renewal not being recognized in your account yet. You won't re-encounter this once you've already updated QuickBooks.

Also, be aware to update your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release version as it becomes available to ensure you have all the updated components.

I'm adding this article about other fixes that can help you in the future: Run QuickBooks Diagnostic Tool.

We’re here to help you find a resolution and ensure QuickBooks continues to be a reliable tool for your financial management. Feel free to reach out with any questions or updates about your subscription.

Quickbooks subscription has expired pop-up error

We have the same error, although our account is active with a renew date in Aug 2025. It was 7 days left, but now it's 3 days left. We ran updates, and reset updates, but the message doesn't go away, what are our options?

We have the same issue.

Our renew date in Aug 2025.

We spend over 3 hours on the phone with the support. We ran updates, reset updates, repair, Hub tool. But the message doesn't go away. Now it says 3 day to renew.

What are our options?

I never fully received an answer why I got this pop-up last week. Although the next day when I opened Quickbooks I did not get the message and have not since that day. I dread opening the system every day. It sounds like you have done everything I did. I performed an update and then customer service told me to do a reset update. I am not sure what Quickbooks system you are using compared to mine.

Quickbooks subscription has expired pop-up error

I found some forums where the explanation was that it's a Sync error between License Number and Product Number on QB site....

But we have yet to find permanent solution.

@Kupez3

Login to CAMPS and make sure your license status is Active. I would recommend to reinstall your QB program and let Intuit server try to reactivate your license.
