I updated to a new computer and then updated from QB desktop pro plus 2018 to the 2021 version. Now the font size for the pictures on QB home page is so tiny. The print seems to be normal. How do I change this. The person I had at QB help me with some other issues told me I need to have a mouse control the curser and I could make an adjustment that way. I do not have a mouse. Only the keyboard.
Thanks for coming here, Sheila61.

I have the same issue and nothing seems to work. QB needs to figure this out. The new 2021 version on my new HP laptop and I can't see any of the picture icons or read stuff in a secondary window.
Thank you for joining in on the thread, Tingwerson.
I can see that Charies M shared a few steps, and it sounds like you’ve already tried them. Let’s not take any further steps yet because the issue only happens on the secondary company, and we don't want the primary to get affected by any changes.
I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Desktop Support, so they can start a screen-sharing session to see your setup and to find the root cause of the display issue.
On the other hand, you can also check out the article about opening and using a second company file to see the list of restrictions.

We pay almost 2000 per year on Quickbooks, direct deposit, and QB payroll, and Quickbooks is the ONLY Windows application that cannot render correctly on Windows. Icons are tiny, some text is tiny and other text is huge. Is this a sick attempt to force desktop users to QB online? Why would we pay MORE for online when the desktop product can't even get the basics right? This is 2023. Windows-compatibly with apps released last week should work, period.
I know what you mean. I am visually impaired and struggle with Quckbooks. Sure I can change my scaling in windows, but I already have it set to 175. All other applications are readable and have large font sizes for me except Quickbooks. Seems like this issue would be an ADA violation, especially considering this problem has gone on year after year. I have to use the magnifier in windows to see some of my Quickbooks text. Shameful from a company that charges such an outrages amount of money for their software, especially for small operations such as mine.
how do you change default font size in quick books

You've come to the right place for assistance. I'm happy to provide some info so you're able to change the font in your QuickBooks Desktop account.
While the option to enlarge the font is unavailable within QuickBooks, some users have had success by changing the Windows DPI and screen resolution. Here's how:
Solution 1: Change QuickBooks DPI settings
1. Right-click on the QuickBooks icon, then select Properties.
2. Select the Compatibility tab, and select Disable display scaling on high DPI settings.
3. Click Apply, then OK.
4. Open QuickBooks and check to see if the windows are visible.
Solution 2: Change the Desktop View Preference
1. Open your company file.
2. From the Edit menu, select Preferences > Desktop View > My Preferences.
3. Switch View from Multiple Windows to One Window.
The following article offers additional info about fixing screen issues in QuickBooks Desktop.
Please give these steps a try and let me know how things look afterward. I'm only a comment or post away if you have any other questions.
