Just wanted to chime in and say thanks to Intuit for many years (25+) using your QuickBooks Premier Desktop Manufacturing software. It's sad to go, but when you jack up the annual price from $800 to $3,334 (annual 3-person subscription), it's time to move on. We've been testing Xero with great results, more features, and significantly less than $800. You might want to rethink your 3-person Enterprise pricing. It's crazy out of line with your competition. John
You have QB Desktop 2021 Premier for 3 users wit a non subscription license, correct? Why do you need to upgrade? You can still use it for good.
Another option, you can purchase QB Desktop 2024 Premier Plus for 3 users = $1,575.
You don't need to purchase QB Desktop Enterprise.
The Premier Desktop 2021 expires next month (no payroll support) and Intuit is only offering an online Enterprise solution at $3,300. No more Desktop Premier Enterprise.
Our Desktop Premier is expiring next month (no payroll support) and Intuit isn't offering / supporting Desktop Premier 2024 after 2025. They're telling us the only option is the new subscription model at $3,300 per year. We got a letter from them confirming it.
Their sales team has been instructed only to offer QB Desktop Enterprise. You can purchase a new license of QB Desktop 2024 Pro Plus, Premier Plus, Accountant Plus, Mac Plus and Enterprise thru select partners. You can contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA for details and you can get $100 cashback.
Thanks. Those options will not be supported after 2025. According to QB's sales, everything is moving to a subscription model ($3,300 per year). The good news is that Xero seems to have everything we need and more. Migrating to Zero!
They will support QB Desktop 2024 Pro Plus and Premier Plus until 2027.
Yes, 4Gal is correct! We will be supporting these programs until May 31st, 2027.

We have been a QB DT User for 19+ years and currently have 2020 Premier R17P. We have a 5 User license but typically on have 4 users. We have a large inventory and use Sales Orders for our project work. The pricing we've looked at to move to a Win 11 2024 version seems outrageous. We just purchased new PC's that run Win 11 and are looking around at other SW options.
What do you recommend if we were to stay with QB?

Why don't you stay with QB Desktop 2020?

I know that cost is an important consideration when making a purchase, Marco. Let me provide some additional details that can help you evaluate your options.
Please know that 2020 is already unsupported. The latest version is QuickBooks Desktop is 2024. Given that you typically have 4 users, you can choose between QuickBooks Premier or QuickBooks Enterprise. Both of these versions can accommodate large inventory levels and support sales order functionality.
You can check out the full list of features available in each version, as well as the estimated pricing, by visiting these links:

Intuit is such a slimy and greedy company. Less than 10 years ago, you used to be able to buy QuickBooks Desktop for ~$300 and use it for 3 years. Now it's basically a subscription costing $600+ per year. The last 3 or 4 years it's gone up over $100 per year. This is to motivate users to move to QuickBooks online-- which costs $1000 to $3300 per year per company for the same basic features. With QuickBooks Desktop you could track multiple companies with a single purchase-- useful if you had an LLC for holding property and another for running the business.
Also lobbying the government to keep tax laws complicated so people can't file their taxes themselves and need software to do it for them. Just really sick and greedy stuff.
I agree, I purchased QB Desktop Pro 2022, one year into using the software, it was deactivated. I lost all my data. QB wanted me to pay over $600 dollars to activate the software. I liked the desktop version because many clients do not like to be expose in the online version.
Now I have to do everything the old fashion way with spreadsheets. The good news is that it forced me to practice paper and pencil JE. The bad news is that I just do not think I can ever use QB Desktop again with such prohibiting cost.
Do you need to run QB Payroll or QB Payment?
