Hi QB Community -
My checks align perfectly except for one area the memo line. Is it possible to fine tune the alignment for that specific area. I don't want to adjust the rest of alignment as they are working properly.
I thought I could possibly just add the memo to the voucher sections but I don't see a way to do that. Is my only solution to remove it altogether?
Thanks for any advice. This one is a head scratcher, at least for me.
Mike
Let's work together to get the alignment on the printing check fixed as soon as possible. It only takes three easy steps to resolve this problem, mikeNSM.
We recommend using Adobe Acrobat for printing checks. Adobe Reader is required for printing both Standard and Voucher checks. Here’s how to download it and set it as your default PDF viewer:
If the alignment looks good, then you’re ready to print on your regular checks. If the check still doesn’t line up or the memo alignment is still low, here’s how you can fine-tune your check alignment:
If the Memo alignment is still off, you might need to adjust the scale on your print dialog box. When you select the print option in QuickBooks, your default print dialog box opens. Depending on your setup, this might be the print dialog from your browser, Adobe Acrobat, or your printer’s driver. The steps for adjusting the scale or page size vary for each printing experience. Here are some common tips for adjusting the scale of your tool:

I am having the same issue with the memo printing too low. I have Adobe Acrobat Pro but don't see the + new plus icon in your directions.
Welcome to the Community, Lynn.
Let me share information regarding the check alignment of your memo using your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
You can edit the alignment of your memo inside your QBO account, where you can find the + New icon you’ve been looking for. To fine-tune your check alignment you can, follow the steps below:
1. Go to the + New icon.
2. Select Print checks, then choose Print setup.
3. Click on No, and continue setup. Then select No, and continue setup again. It’ll open up the check-in and alignment window where you can adjust the margins to correct the alignment.
4. In the check image window, drag the grid so the numbers are in the same place they appear on your sample print. QuickBooks will automatically adjust the alignment.
5. After altering the grid, choose View Preview and Print, then click Print.
6. To finish printing your sample check, follow the onscreen steps.
7. Review the sample if it aligns with a blank check.
8. Repeat the grid alignment process and print as many times as necessary to align the check correctly.
9. Once done, click Finish Setup.

The placement of the memo line on checks is now printing significantly lower than usual, causing inconvenience and potential errors in our financial documentation.
This recent development has disrupted our (and many other users) operations, as it never posed a problem before. It is essential that this matter be promptly resolved by QuickBooks without requiring third-party interventions/app downloads. Users should not have to resort to additional applications to ensure correct check formatting.
I have spent extensive time in contact with QuickBooks support, who have informed me that adjusting the memo line placement is beyond their control. However, as this is fundamentally a QuickBooks software issue, I find this explanation unsatisfactory and inaccurate.
I strongly urge QuickBooks to restore the previous check layout, which allowed for correct printing of the entire check, including the memo section. This adjustment is crucial for maintaining efficiency and accuracy in our financial processes.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I will continue to raise awareness until this issue is resolved.
QBO - is there a way we can open a ticket for this request. Happy to do it.
