There seems to be a problem with your integration so please get this resolved as soon as possible.

Would love to be added as an affected user. Not sure why I'm paying such a high monthly fee for a program that can't do the one thing it's supposed to do.

Thanks for joining the Community and getting involved with this thread, Kmessie15.

I've reviewed our ongoing investigation about Discover bank displaying an Error 324 and "no eligible accounts" message. Intuit's Product Investigations team marked it as resolved on November 11, 2023. They identified this was occurring due to a temporary glitch on our end and have since fixed it.

If you're still encountering an error 324 and "no eligible accounts" message, Intuit's Product Investigations team recommends initially confirming there's no transactions in your account's For Review list. In the event there are any transactions in need of review, you can add them to your register or exclude them.

Afterwards, they recommend disconnecting your account, then reconnecting it.

Here's how:

  1. In the left navigation bar, go to Banking.
  2. Use your Pencil icon on the account.
  3. From your Account window, tick the Disconnect this account on save checkbox.
  4. Select Save and close.
  5. Reconnect your account.

If if you continue encountering the error message, you'll want to get in touch with our Customer Care team and reference the investigation's case number (INV-93469).

They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research, and reopen the investigation if necessary. In the event they add your account as an affected user, you'll receive email notifications about any updates relating to our case.

They can be reached while you're signed in.

Here's how:

  1. Use the Help (?) icon.

  2. Click Contact Us.

  3. Enter a description of your situation in the What can we help you with? field, then hit Let's talk.

  4. Select Start messaging or Get a call.

Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.

Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have a wonderful Monday!

I'm also having the same issue.

The QB integration team needs to speak with Discover and figure out why this interface/link isn't working.

QB support, please escalate this to the correct department.

QB support should escalate this to the QB integration team. The correct team at QB should contact Discover and figure out what the interface/link is down.

What alternative products have people found since QB/QB Self Employement/etc no longer work with Discover?

BTW: Weirdly it fails on the business accounts but not the personal accounts. The personal accounts however don't help but does indicate something that it specific.

Just spent another 30 minutes with customer care doing screen shares trying to resolve. Issue apparently is still open and they have no ETA for resolution. This has been very frustrating

Of course it actually is not fixed and the problem still occurs. Really want this product to work but they do make it hard to stick with them.

I spent 30 minutes on the call with the agent yesterday and she said they would need the back end to fix the issue and said they would add me to the list of people to be notified. This is the same answer I got 2 months ago when I spent an hour with customer care trying to resolve things. The customer help desk apparently can’t really fix the accounts and can only walk thru the scripts and determine if there is some user error. If there are system defects they can just pass it to them.

I'm having the same issue. New user and was expecting to use this starting in 2024 as my accounting program.

This issue needs to be resolved. Discover business is my primary credit card

Yeah, same here on Discover. QB has shown no real ability to solve this in last few months for those affected (its only affecting some cards so not everyone, but unfortunately for some of us it is our primary. Have done a few calls with support and some emails have told me its fixed only to discover its still open for us.

I may need to find alternative products for 2024 but haven’t found anything that meets that. One of the fixes had me delete all my discover data I had categorized so I will need to manually load all my data and remap it all if I keep this product.

Has anyone figured out how to properly manually import transactions for these cases. In particular,

1. What account do you import into so that it will work? (since you can't add a new Discover account)
2. I tried to load into another account and got failures, ( I expect due to dates since it would only manually load earlier ones).

Thanks

In the meantime, while having trouble connecting your bank account to QuickBooks Online, you can obtain a valid WebConnect (CSV) file through your bank's website or by contacting your bank directly. Once you have the file, you can manually upload it to QuickBooks Online. This will allow you to reconcile your transactions, keep your records current, and ensure your financial information is accurate and organized. Here are some links that are helpful for the import process:

Once you have manually uploaded the transactions, you can begin categorizing them into the appropriate accounts. This will help you keep track of your finances and ensure that everything is accounted for properly. It's important to take the time to categorize each transaction to avoid any confusion or errors.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to resolve this matter. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns. Have a great day!

So:
1) I’ve reached out a few times to customer support

2) Re: the manual loading. How do you manually create an account when it won’t let you connect. In order to load the transactions you need to build the account first on Quickbooks self employed. I tried using my non business discover to create an account and feed into that but its failing due to dates (it only seems to take files with dates before first feed)

So after another hour on a support chat:
1) The issues are still not resolved and they have no ETA
2) Apparently import won't work since I deleted the account which I was told to do by support when this began and there is no way to create a manual account. I will need to either load it into cash or find another workaround.

Looking into product alternative for 2024. Has anyone used FreshBooks or others?

unfortunately in QuickBooks SelfEmployed you can't create accounts to load the transactions into so you have to either load into cash or ;load into a credit card with transactions earlier than the feed starts.

I'm experiencing the same issue... Quickbooks was able to import transactions from Discover Business card successfully until August 2023, then it disconnected. And now when I enter the username & password for the Discover account to get Quickbooks to retrieve transactions, it says, "We're Sorry. You do not have any accounts that are eligible to link at this time."

Is the official conclusion that after July 2023 (6 months ago as of the date of this post), all Quickbooks users with Discover credit cards must enter every credit card transaction manually rather than importing data directly from Discover?

Having done so multiple times calling customer care to log it does not seem to help and takes about 30 minutes per session to get anywhere that they will log the issue, more often just closing it.

Import does not work on self employement unless you load into the cash account which will make it harder to resolve later or an unused/ never used credit card. There is currently no support to make a new account to load transactions into

I cancelled my account with Quickbooks and shifted over to Wave which (for now) is free. Got sick of hearing that these issues would be resolved with no resolution in sight. Wave easily brought in all of my discover transactions and I was able to batch label and categorize them.
