I’m receiving the following error (aborting application: QuickBooks is now terminating) during the process of import importing accounting changes. The process partially completes but at one point an error is reported. The system only crashes when I hit “do not send” and the cycle repeats when I hit “send” to report the error. I am running QuickBooks Pro 2021 on Windows 10 Pro with the 64-bit operating system. The program is run locally but the file is located on a shared drive so that my assistant can have access simultaneously. I have imported accounting changes numerous times without consequence. I have tried numerous things including verifying and rebuilding the data. I have run the QuickBooks toolkit as well. I also had the accountant redo the file as well as send the file via the web and as an attached file in an email. Lastly I have a VPN and have tried with and without this on. I’ve also confirmed that the Sophos antivirus software allows QuickBooks. Any insights? Thank you so much. Derek
I don't see a mention of the problems you're seeing.
Thanks for joining the Community space, @Dott211.
As mentioned by our Established Community Backer BigRedConsulting, may I ask more details about the problem you encounter while importing accounting changes? Any additional information can help me provide a timely resolution.
For now, you can check out this article on how to fix errors and unexpected results while importing Accountant's Changes: Resolve errors and unexpected results when importing accountant's changes. It provides several scenarios where you're unable to import the Accountant's Changes to your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) company file, along with the steps to resolve it.
Also, make sure your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) is updated to the latest release. This way, you'll have all the critical updates needed by the program.
In case you need further assistance, I'd suggest consulting our Customer Support Team. They have tools that can check your account securely and help you with the import process. To reach them, click this article: Contact QuickBooks Desktop support.
I've also added some articles about Accountants Copy FAQs and other related topics.

Sorry about that.
For some reason the first part was cut off.
The full description is now included.
Basically the program would crash after trying to incorporate accounted changes
Hi Dott211,
Thanks for the additional detail. However, I've read in your original post that you've already done the things that we can ask you to do from here. So at this post, I would recommend contacting our QuickBooks Desktop Support. That way, they can use a screen-sharing tool to gather more details on the issue.
Feel free to let me know how your conversation goes. I just want to be sure that your issue is taken care of.
How big is your file size?
Pretty large-152212 KB. I considered condensing but I do need access to older dates at times.
I appreciate you for getting back to this thread, @Dott211. Let me help you import the accountant's copy in QuickBooks.
Having a large file size is the reason why the program crashed when importing the copy.
To verify, let's try to test a company file, export the accountant's copy. If it works, then your company file has the issue. To fix this, let's run a verify and rebuild data on the client's file. The Verify Data will identify any data issues within your company file. Then, the Rebuild tool will self-resolve it. Check the steps below:
Verify data:
Otherwise, you can utilize the Condense Data utility to help streamline your company data file. For detailed steps, please see this article: Use the Condense Data utility. This will guide you more about condensing, its limitations, how it is done, and what to do before, during, and after the process.
Additionally, let me share this article to help you resolve errors and unexpected results while importing Accountant's Changes.
Keep me posted if you have other questions about importing accountant's changes. I'll be around to help you. Stay safe and have a good one.
In terms of size, files with a size of less than 200 MB should run well in Pro/Premier. Consider using Condense Data to scale down your size to isolate the problem. Make sure to secure the backup file first. If the same error persists, your file size is not the main culprit. Another workaround, restore your backup file with a new company filename.
Thanks for the ideas/suggestions. I have again rebuilt and verified the file and no issues noted. I then attempted to condense the file after removing the accountants restrictions. This produced another error message-“not enough resources are available to complete this operation (error 8007000e)”. The program is running locally on my computer and the company file is on a shared drive. All of the locations have significant amount of free space with the shared drive having 280 GB.
Thanks for trying all the steps suggested by my peers above, @Dott211.
Let's fix this by downloading and installing QuickBooks diagnostic tool. It will help us analyze and highlight faulty Windows components and fixes problems within them.
