I need to upgrade my computer and am wondering if QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2021 will work with Windows 11? I have searched the community, but so far have only found threads that are nearly a year old. Where can I find out?
Thanks!

Hi there, @PEStaffing.
Let me share some information about QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) system requirements.
The current supported operating systems for running QBDT are still the following:
Currently, Windows 11 is not yet certified as fully compatible with QBDT 2021 version. Though you can still use QBDT on Windows 11, but you may encounter some issues. Also, QuickBooks requires you to use Windows natively and not through an emulator or virtual environment.
For additional info, you may refer to this article: QuickBooks Desktop Microsoft Windows 11 Compatibility.
I've added a link where you can check the operating system, hardware, software, and other system requirements for QBDT 2021: System requirements for QuickBooks Desktop 2021.

Hi Abegail, it looks like you are an Inuit employee, and this is the first I've seen anyone say that Intuit has committed to "complete the compatibility certification process" for QuickBooks Desktop 2021 running on Windows 11.
Can you confirm that Intuit plans to certify QB 2021 on Win11?
In the meantime, is there a list somewhere of known issues running QB 2021 on Win11?
You have already provided links for the following help pages:
- QuickBooks Desktop Microsoft Windows 11 Compatibility
- System requirements for QuickBooks Desktop 2021
...but those pages do not list any known bugs.
Thanks in advance.

I installed it on a new Win11 machine, and did get one error about PDFs, and had to install "Microsoft XPS Document Writer." That seems to be working, but it would be very helpful to see a list of other things that might not be working with QB2021 on Win11.
Thanks in advance.”

I use the QuickBooks Desktop Premier - Accountants Edition 2021 to access a client's Pro 2021 software, but I am getting ready to switch to a new PC that runs on Windows 11. Has the Pro 2021 software been certified as fully compatible with Windows 11 yet? If not, is the Accountants Edition compatible with Windows 11?

Any news upon when the compatibility issues between windows 11 and QuickBooks Desktop pro 2021 will finally be resolved. Not knowing there would be issues I upgraded from 10 to 11 and not when I attempt to email my invoices I get an error message. I downloaded and ran the QBs repair module but it didn’t fix the problem. Do I need to reinstall windows 10? Thank for any help.
If you can reinstall your OS, I recommend using Win 10 Home and make sure you can enable IE11.
Thanks for joining this thread and alerting us about your invoice issue, Edwin. Let me share information about the QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) operating system and other requirements.
At this moment, we can't provide a timeframe for QBDT 2021's full compatibility with Windows 11. However, we'll share information as soon as the compatibility certification process is complete.
Also, you mentioned you got an error message when attempting to email invoices. Can you share the exact error with me? This way, I can provide accurate solutions for you.
Concerning reinstalling Windows 10, yes, you can. Furthermore, QBDT 2021 requires the internet security protocol TLS 1.2 for the connected services to work smoothly. If you haven’t run this tool yet, I recommend you do so. This helps ensure you’re able to email invoices without any interruptions.
