Reports all messed up after latest update

These "engineers" should be fired for their total incompetence! Who on earth would release an update without fully testing it and seeing the effects?! I started to rebuild the reports from scratch last night because I can't continue to wait for them to figure it out. This software is a total joke. Quickbooks online is even worse. What is everyone switching to?

I still think Intuit was hacked. Nobody is this stupid or incompetent.

We will find out in 6 months.

Can you explain please? Does that mean that you created a new report? I have almost 100 reports and I would hate to re-create all of them.

I have the same problem, I was on the line for 2 hours + with tech support last week who seemed 100% oblivious to the problem and that I was not the only one having it.  At the end of escalating this several times, I was told that that there would be an update or patch issued to fix this.

 

When will this happen?????

If you're using an updated QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) version and notice that additional columns and data are appearing incorrectly, it's recommended to update it to the latest released. Once updated, all your memorized reports should start working as expected.

 

However, if you've already updated your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest and still have inaccurate memorized reports, the system might have been created or edited in the unsupported QuickBooks Desktop version.

 

To fix it, let's first back up your company file as this will help prevent any potential data loss. Next, is identify the memorized reports which are not working as expected. Then, recreate the memorized reports.

 

After securing a back up file, let's proceed with the basic data troubleshooting:

 

Re-sort the Memorized Reports list:
 

  1. From the Reports menu, navigate to Memorized Reports and select Memorized Reports List.

     
  2. Then, go to Memorized Reports, choose Re-sort List.


     
  3. Click OK when prompted with "Are you sure you want to return this list to its original order?"

 

Once done, use the Rebuild Utility to repair transactions and list damage in your company file, although its capabilities are limited to predefined fixes.
 

  1. From the File menu, navigate to Utilities > Rebuild Data.


     
  2. Click OK if prompted to back up your company file.
  3. If your computer shows QuickBooks is not responding, wait for the process to complete as long as the mouse cursor moves.
  4. Click OK when you see the message Rebuild has completed.
  5. Run Verify Data to check for any remaining data damage.

I started the dreaded task of rebuilding reports from scratch and memorizing, what an absolute waste of time! Have you tried exporting to excel and shifting the columns over that are screwed up? That's one workaround I used when I needed the report immediately.

So do I get to bill Quickbooks for my $2,500 worth of time I already have in to rebuilding the reports from scratch?! I even uninstalled and installed QuickBooks then did the updates again, STILL DOES NOT WORK! Do you guys realize that you are telling users of your software to continue to waste their time? We have to bill clients for this! It's absolutely unacceptable!

For me, was only the memorized reports affected after update. 

I just deleted them and memorize them again from the standard report with my custom ''diplay & Filters''

Was about 10 minutes for 5 reports.

The same thing happened to me. They told me that I am the only one to report this problem, and Octavia told me that Intuit can't help me, that my only option is to rebuild my reports.  What is that all about?

I've done all the troubleshooting you can do. Including uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing fixes it. You have to rebuild the report from scratch. It's awful!

the problem I have isn't rebuilding a memorized report but it is like some of the past data is gone or blank in the columns which should be full of data

You can't use that report any longer. Even if you fix it and rememorize it, it's going to be messed up when you print it. You have to go to the generic reports, select one that you can then filter and customize to fit your needs. I've already got over 30 hours into this. Trust me. Nothing QB is doing is fixing the problem. The reports have to be moved to a new "delete" group you'll create and then new reports created.

Why bother? All you'll tell us is to update, even though we are all using the most current update. This is an error on QUICKBOOKS side! It's the software! Not anyone's files. Why don't you guys actually put out an update that fixes the problem?!

 RheaMaeH SOUNDS LIKE AN AI BOT.  If after reading this entire thread your response is to post another link to live support then you don't comprehend any of the words that you've read above.

 

This entire fiasco was created by Intuit Programmers who either cannot or will not perform BASIC BETA TESTING on their "upgrade" before rolling out. If these "upgrades" would have been checked before being pushed out, it would have been obvious that the links were wrong and it could have been corrected before pissing off the entire customer base.

I am still waiting for them to fix some of the problems they created with a garbage update in 2021. I spent 8 hours on the phone with tech support remoting in to my CPU so he could see the problems himself. He said he sent a ticket to someone who could fix the issue and it promptly got ignored.

exactly, I already spent 2 hours + wasted with live support , who didn't seem to understand the issue despite requesting to be send to senior level tech

 

at the end of all of this, I was told yes there is an issue and an update will be sent out to correct

 

I have rerun reports (not from memorized) and have columns of "blank/missing data"

 

They need to issue a fix!!!

My client was curious who is going to be paying my invoice this month that is well over $2k, not for doing my usual duties but for REBUILDING MEMORIZED REPORTS FROM SCRATCH!!!! Why should we be paying over $1k a year for this junk software?!?!

Add me to the list of people that just opened a memorized report that is screwed up with columns I can't delete.  Yes, I know I can minimize them but that's not an acceptable answer,  Why can't I delete "Act. Cost" and "Act. Sales Price"?  I already have "Sales Price" in the report.  I've found two reports so far that have been changed.  I'm going to start opening up the other ones now to see what other ones are screwed up.
