I would like to first test a migration/conversion from Sage 50 to QBO Plus. One is not able to run such a test with a QBO trial account so I have to purchase a paid subscription, Plus. This is fine.
I want to run QB's Dataswitcher Conversion and then utilize spreadsheets to import Products, etc. Since this will be a test with some dummy and potential bad data, I want to be able to then delete everything or cancel the account so that I can start fresh with good data for a true/final conversion.
Can I delete everything that has been imported? Can I cancel a year subscription one month or so into testing without any penalty? If I can cancel, can I use the same email, company name, password, etc. to purchase a new QBO Plus account to start my true/final conversion? TIA! Peace, John

I'm happy to help you, @trinitystores!
If your QuickBooks Online Plus subscription is less than 60 days, you have the option to purge your account. This deletes all data entered into the company and you're unable to restore or reverse them.
Here's how:
On the other hand, if your account is 60 days older, you'll need to cancel your current QuickBooks Online company and start a new one. To confirm, yes, you can use the same email, company name, password, and even user ID. You can check this article for detailed instructions: Delete your data and start over in QuickBooks Online.

You can use the 60 day refund policy if you purchased the annual subscription. Keep in mind, you should consider purchasing another third-party service to convert data from Sage with non-posting transactions (e.g. Estimates, Purchase Orders) or attachments.
Hi @trinitystores,
I'm glad to see you keeping in touch with us here in the Community space. I'm here to provide some clarifications about the QuickBooks Online subscription plans.
All the QuickBooks Online (Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, and Advanced) versions in the US are available only in Monthly plans. The prices you see on your links are discount offers applied to the monthly rate for the first 12 or 3 months of service.
Please note these apply to new users who haven't registered an account for QuickBooks. You can visit your links and scroll down to the Important offers, pricing details, & disclaimers section for more info about the promotions (see screenshot below).
If you need to speak to sales, the contact details are visible in the upper-right of the website. This way, you'll be able to know more about your options in using QuickBooks Online.
Also, there are many ways how to manage your QuickBooks Online subscription. I've attached a link you can check out to update the card on file, change your subscription, or view your billing history in QuickBooks: Manage billing, payment, and subscription info in QuickBooks Online.
Don't hesitate to reach out if you have more concerns regarding QuickBooks Online or switching plans. We'll keep an eye on your response.

Hi AileneA:
My plan is to test the Sage 50 to QBO conversion over the next two weeks. If my conversion tests are successful, then I will run a full conversion in early Jan 0,2023 when 2022 is reconciled. This means I am purchasing a year subscription for QBO Plus this week.
If I completely fail at my conversion tests (it is not for the faint of heart) and need to run back to Sage with my tail between my legs, will I be able to cancel QBO Plus without penalty or am I stuck for the year payment? TIA! Peace, John
Good morning, @trinitystores.
Thanks for coming back and asking more questions about your QuickBooks Online account.
Yes, you'll be able to cancel you QuickBooks Online Plus account and get a refund if need be for your annual subscription. As long as it's within the 6 days of the purchase date, you're eligible for a refund under our satisfaction guarantee.
Review our return policy for some exceptions.
If you decide to get a refund, here's a guide to help you fill out a request form or you can contact our Customer Support Team.
I hope this helps answer your question. I'm only a post away if you need me again. Have a splendid Wednesday!
Where is your company located? As I know, QB Online US version doesn't offer any annual plan.

I am in USA.
Here is the link to the QBO yearly price options = https://quickbooks.intuit.com/partners/irp/?cid=irp-4337#pricing
And here is a link to a different QBO pricing plan that looks to be monthly = https://quickbooks.intuit.com/oa/get-quickbooks/?cid=ppc_G_e_US_.QBO_US_GGL_Brand_Other_Exact_Search...
Is your point that I do not need to worry about a year plan (even though the price is better for a year payment vs. monthly) because I can always start with monthly and cancel if I fail at my conversion? Thanks. Peace, John

Thanks for the important reminder to read the fine print. I did so.
As one can see on this thread, there is some conflicting data. One says there are yearly plans and one says monthly only. This is all OK. I need to stop worrying about getting stuck with paying QBO if my conversion tests blow up on me and focus much more on making it happen. I very much want to convert to QBO for a variety of reasons.
I have more questions regarding the actual conversion between Sage 50 and QBO Plus so I think it might be best if I start a new post specific to that. Thanks again! Peace, John
