Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to get your QuickBooks Desktop for Mac working, Frederico.
The Unknown error resID (8000, 184) error occurs when there's damaged data in your software. I appreciate you for performing some solutions to get this sorted out. Hi, Thanks for the rapid reply.
If I'm not mistaken, those instructions only apply to QBD for Windows; I am on a Mac, as noted by the product category and the data provided at the end of my post.
Please advise.
TIA
Thank you for getting back to us so quickly, @Frederico.
Yes, you're right. The QuickBooks File Doctor only works when using the QuickBooks Dekstop for Windows version. Since you're getting the same result after running the Verify/Rebuild tool many times, I'd suggest contacting our Technical Support Team. You can follow the steps provided by my colleague above on how to reach them.
I've got an article to help and guide you more about QuickBooks Desktop for Mac: User's Guide.
I'll be right here if you need with anything about QuickBooks. Wish you all the best.
Contact Support and ask for Intuit Data Service to fix it. Otherwise, consider purchasing a 3rd party file repair service.
Does the Mac data file allow you to create a Windows backup? If yes, you can export the data to Windows and use the repair tool in QB Desktop to fix the issue. After fixing the issue, create a Mac backup using these instructions.
Try looking for a 3rd party service that will fix the file for you. Some of them have an expedited service which takes a matter of hours to resolve.
Are you running into issues when using the file? If not it may not be worth fixing the issue.
