Why are we not being updated on issues?

QuickBooks Management - Why are we not being updated on issues on the new quoting and invoicing issues. You removed ability to go back to the previous working version and stuck your customers with an update that has issues and no work around. I contact support and all they can say is I am sorry. 18 days now and that's the only update we get is I am sorry. This is bank and financial software not a video game. This is software we depend on and its not free. I think we deserve an update on what is going on.

Why are we not being updated on issues?

I can only imagine how challenging these changes must have been for you, RC125.

I can see how the new estimate and invoice layout affects your experience when creating sales transactions, as working with the interface we got used to is indeed more convenient. Allow me to provide an overview of these latest improvements and changes introduced in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Effective May 6, 2024, all Plus and Advanced users will be migrated to the new invoice experience. The changes will be mandatory, with no option to change back to the previous layout. The rollout aims to ensure that all QBO users are operating on the new invoicing experience before the end of May.

Meanwhile, Simple Start and Essentials subscribers have already transitioned to the new experience, effective April. Reverting to the previous interface is unavailable.

Moreover, you can get acquainted with these invoice updates to get the most out of your experience by reviewing this article: See what is new with estimates and invoices in QuickBooks Online.

To ensure you stay updated on all the changes and beta tests for upcoming features in QuickBooks Online, I recommend visiting our Firm of the Future page.

You can also share the issues you've encountered with the new layout. This way, I can provide solutions or workarounds to maintain accurate records and ensure business continuity.

Additionally, I've added this resource to help you personalize and add specific info to your sales forms that matter most to your customers and business: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts.

I'm ready to help you again if you have more questions about managing your sales transactions. Would you like to learn more about other processes in QuickBooks? I'm with you every step of the way.

Why are we not being updated on issues?

That does not address my question. I am asking about the issues. Like how taxes do not calculate correctly. Why the tax check box does not turn off taxes on line items in quotes. Why there is a T after every line item on a quote even though the checkbox is unchecked. Why there is a T after a line item that is empty for spacing. Why the taxes subtotal shows at bottom even tough there is no taxes turned on in QuickBooks. Why some spaces show up in PDF files and other spaces do not. I have items in the INV that were turned in 18 days ago and 14 days ago and 10 days ago and 8 days ago and no one update from anybody. I contact support and they tell me they don't know and have no updates. Your response to my initial question is exactly the kind of response I get from QuickBooks support some canned response that has nothing to do with actual questions. Oh an I apologize. They are apologetic but never get you any information. I am tired of apologies I need actual answers. Where is the management at in this company. Your customers are needing somebody to take charge.

Why would Intuit replace a more convenient invoice with a less convenient invoice? That seems dumb. Maybe you can let management know.

@RC125  RE: Why are we not being updated on issues on the new quoting and invoicing issues.

I think it's because there are too many issues for any human to track.

And also tracking them, making a huge long list, would make it clear how bad they are and what a colossal mistake it was to release them to customers, much less foist them on customers when they're clearly not ready.

QB Management - I never received an actual response from you about the question I asked.

Why are we not being updated on issues?

Thanks for following up with the Community, RC125. I appreciate your detailed information.

I can certainly understand how an ability to switch back to the old invoicing and estimates experience could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.

You can also submit your own feature requests while signed in.

Here's how:

  1. Use the Gear icon, then go to Feedback.
  2. Enter your suggestion(s) in the Have feedback? window.
  3. If necessary, attach a file with your Camera icon.
  4. Select Next.

Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. You can stay up-to-date with the latest news about your product by reviewing Intuit's Product Updates webpage.

You'll want to be aware there's a few classic invoicing features that aren't available in the new experience:

  • Mobile classic sales tax
  • Billable Mileage Tracking
  • Add previous attachments
  • Mobile multicurrency
  • Reference links displaying matched online transactions
  • Price Rules (they can be created, but not used on invoices currently)
  • Mobile subtotals (they're available in your web version)

You can learn more about the new invoices and estimates layout in our See what’s new with estimates & invoices article.

In regard to sales taxes showing on sales forms when they're turned off in QuickBooks, our sales tax article mentions that if you had sales taxes turned on, but don't charge them, you'll need to turn them off before using your new experience.

Since yours were already turned off like you say, but are now showing on sales forms, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care team and bringing this to their attention They'll be able to pull up the account in a secure environment, conduct further research with you, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.

If there's any questions, I'm just a post away. Have a lovely Thursday!

Why are we not being updated on issues?

You guys still did not read my post. Did you even read the subject line?

Subject line asked "Why are we not being updated on issues?"

Then I explain the issues I already have open support issues on.

Can you answer this question?

Why are we not being updated on issues?

I can see how vital it is to receive the most recent updates on QuickBooks's new features and adjustments, RC125. Let me share insights into how getting updates works and ensure you get them in the future.

Please keep in mind that upon subscribing to your account, you were given the option to get QuickBooks updates. This ensures that you receive an email with the most recent updates and changes prior to their actual implementation. Otherwise, you will not receive any new information unless you have chosen the appropriate preference.

On the other hand, Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, and Advanced users have been migrated to the new invoice experience with no option to opt out. This means the ability to go back to the old experience is no longer available.  This means the ability to return to the old experience is no longer available.

However, I still suggest sending feedback to our product development team. They'll review your comments about the new invoice interface and might consider adding it to future updates. You can follow the steps below pr provided by ZackE above.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Choose Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then, select Next to submit feedback.

Lastly, you may visit each of the websites listed below where you can find official news on Intuit's improvements to the QuickBooks platform.

In case you need a specific section that gives you a great at-a-glance view of the status of all your sales entries like open and paid invoices, you can read this article: View sales transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Please keep us posted on this forum if you have additional questions about the new invoice and estimate layout or other related concerns in QuickBooks Online. I'm here to assist you further, RC125. Take care!

Why are we not being updated on issues?

Here is a perfect example. I was sent this by Quickbooks support and I did not receive this update.

You should still be receiving an update. It seems that the update for INV-102285 will be emailed 05/17/2024 at 12 pm PDT.
