I can show you how to check your account profile and settings, ironwood-ironwoo.
You can see all your subscription settings and profile on the Accounts and settings page. If you're referring to the plan you currently have, you can follow these steps:
If you're referring to the country version, you can click the Advanced still in the Account and settings screen. Then, click the Currency section to see your Home Currency. It reflects which country version you have.
You can check out this link to help you manage your acccount: Manage billing, payment, and subscription info in QuickBooks Online.

Hi Catherine,
I'm not sure you are correct by saying that "Home Currency" reflects the version of Quickbooks that I've purchased.
I have a Quickbooks Online US instance. After purchasing that instance I went into my settings and was able to change my "Home Currency" from USD to CAD.
If what you are saying is true, then users are fundamentally changing which version of Quickbooks they are using simply by adjusting their Home Currency?
Thanks for joining in on this discussion, kmo.
You can change your home currency only when you haven't enabled the Multicurrency feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO). However, I can walk you through the steps in identifying the version of QBO you're currently using.
Here's how:
The company address determines the country version of the QBO you're subscribed to.
Moreover, check out this article if you'll need to change your billing info in QBO: Update billing, payment, and subscription info in QuickBooks Online.
Let me know if you need additional help locating your QBO version. I'm always here to lend a hand. Stay safe!
Hi, thanks for the quick reply but that still doesn't answer the question here:
How can a user tell which Country Version of Wuickbooks they are accessing?
As I pointed out above, the Home Currency is NOT indicative of the Country Version since that field CAN be altered by the user after creation of the QBO instance.
I can help you determine which country your QuickBooks Online account is for, @kmoAccountant.
Aside from going to the Accounts and Settings to determine the currency, we can also find out what country by looking at its default currency. Here's how:
I'm also enclosing a few articles to help you get started with QuickBooks Online processes:
Please let me know if you need clarification about multicurrency in QBO. I'll be standing by for your response. Have a great day, and stay safe.
Sorry, but this answer is still not helpful. The currency is driven by the Home Currency established in my setting is it not? And as highlighted previously, that field is modifiable, so it's not actually indicative of the Country Version of Quickbooks that I've purchased.
Simply put, the home currency is the default parameter when you select a specific QBO region. If you use QBO US Simple Start, you cannot change your currency to CAD. You must purchase QBO CA Easy Start to use CAD instead.
I appreciate you for coming back to the thread for adding extra clarification about your concern, kmoAccountant. I'll be sharing details on how home currency works in QuickBooks, then routed you to the right support team to assist you further on this matter and achieve your goal.
Home currency is usually the currency your business uses for its entries based on where your business is located. With this, when you set up QuickBooks, it automatically sets your home currency.
On the other hand, as mentioned by Fiat above that the home currency is the default parameter when you select a specific QBO region. This means that the QuickBooks application is dependent on the region you picked when setting up the product.
Additionally, I also recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Support Team. They have the ability to access your account in a safe environment and determine which country version of Quickbooks you have purchased.
Lastly, you may refer to this article to see information on how currency works in QuickBooks and how you can use this on your transactions in QuickBooks: Set up and use multicurrency in QuickBooks Online.

Thanks, but when I go to "Accounts and settings" there is no "billing and subscription" tab. How else can I find out which version? I can't submit a help request without the version.
We appreciate you joining here in the thread, Cath. Allow me to add updates or clarifications regarding the Subscriptions and billing tab in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Instead of the Account and settings, you can locate the Subscriptions and billing tab directly under the Profile column. You can refer to this image for your convenience:
On the other hand, you can also review your subscription by logging in to your Intuit Account. Here's how:
Moreover, you can review this resource for guidance on updating your payment information or resolving related issues within the software: Manage billing, payment, and subscription info in QuickBooks Online.

When I go to the profile page it doesn't tell me which version of Quickbooks online I have. I see this:

You pay your subscription to your accountant, not Intuit directly, correct?
You need to ask your accountant which plan you have.
Any specific concern?
That is correct thanks.
The reason is for me to access this support I have to say what version. I ended up selecting at random, and still don't know!
I want to ensure you can access your subscription details in QuickBooks Online, @cath-whoisyourne.
4Gal is right. To access your subscription details you need to log in as the primary admin. In your case, you need to ask your accountant about your subscription plan since you don't have permission to do so.

I'm all ears if you have other queries about managing your QuickBooks Online subscription. Don't hesitate to reach out.
What if that option does not give you Billing and Subscriptions
All subscription-related details are listed on the Subscriptions and billing page in QBO. Let me provide guidance to make sure you can see them, tds32.
Before we dig deeper into the details, can you tell us what happened when you accessed the page? What details can you see in the Subscriptions and billing section? This is just to make sure that we're giving you the most accurate information to sort this out.
In meantime, I recommend logging out temporarily and logging back in as a company or primary admin. This provides the necessary access to every part of the QuickBooks account.
If you can see Billed to you, Billed to accountant, and Discover More sections, click on the one that has a number on it. This will expand the section and show the subscription that you're using.
If you're getting an error message or can't see any options at all, I'll share a different set of steps to check if a browser issue is preventing you from viewing the subscription details.
Start by adding Intuit as a trusted site. Then, use these versions of compatible web browsers when logging in to QuickBooks Online:
If you can only see a blank screen or the page is not loading entirely, this happens when you have multiple browser tabs open. Close all other tabs that are accessing QuickBooks Online simultaneously and use only one.
You can read more details about this here: QuickBooks Online doesn't load correctly or has blank pages.
