QuickBooks Workforce

Im not sure if im explaining the problem correctly but im invited a new employee to be able to clock in with quickbooks time. in his profile in time everything is there that should allow him  access to be able to clock in on his mobile device. But for some reason his app won't let him clock in on his own we have to clock him in ourselves. Since we have to do that we lose the ability of time tracking with him. My question is what is my first step for fixing the issue is it on my end or my employees.

I can help you troubleshoot the clock-in issue in QuickBooks Time (QBT), @RhysPK

 

Before doing so, ensure that the employee is set up correctly and has the latest version of the app installed on their device.

 

Then, to use the Mobile Time Entry feature in the QuickBooks Workforce (QBW) app, employees need permission from their admin or manager. Otherwise, the employee can receive an error message when attempting to clock in.

 

Here's how to grant the permission:

 

  1. The admin can go to the web dashboard and select My Team.
  2. Open the profile of the team member, and click on Permissions.
  3. Enable the Mobile time entry option.

 

Once the employee syncs the app, they can start tracking time on it. For more detailed information, refer to this article: Troubleshoot QuickBooks Workforce.

 

However, if the option is already turned on, ensure that the employee accepts the two different email invitations for them to clock in on the app (one for QBW, another one for QBT).
