Can anyone help me with a question about inputting sales invoice? Is there anyway to change the actual format of the master invoice, not to print but to enter sales info?

I am new on QuickBooks and used to the format of entering a different format that has the content info in different sequence. I am so used to that particular one and would like to change the QB invoice to match that one that I used in Sage

Hi @mimidawnn,

Welcome to the Community. I can help you with your invoice concern in QuickBooks Online.

If you're referring to the invoice screen when entering sales, the option to change the sequence is unavailable. As of now, you can only customize the templates. You can either edit them directly in the system or import your custom form style in DOCX format.

I appreciate your input on this feature. As we assess this, I suggest you visit our QuickBooks Blog to stay updated with all the changes that are being made.

For more information about personalizing invoices, as well as how to import them, I recommend the following articles:

Thank you for your reply. I have researched this and could not find a solution to this question.  I was so hoping to find a way to customize the fields for the contents of master invoice reason being because I have a standard invoice sheet that I key my customer order off of, and I have used this for 20 years.....hard to break old habits. I like being able to keep Qty, Item, Item price and Extension Cost on each line item.  Now my eyes have to bounce back and forth on my sheet as I am keying in the invoice. I did however develop a customized invoice to print in that format which is good. I wish Quick Books would make an option to be able to customize an input invoice for the convenience of the QB customer.
