Let me help you with previewing your invoices, Pdietz7911.

First, let's unblock the pop-up blockers. It will help you show the invoice.

Then, let's update or repair the Adobe Reader. It can fix the issue you're experiencing right now.

Once done, check if you can see the invoice preview.

Let me also add this article as a future reference: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

If you have other concerns, please feel free to leave a comment below. Take care!

It is so hard to get help with this matter and the chat part is worthless.  I need to get this taken care of NOW as I government billing to do (like 9 HUGH invoices totalling 5 Million Dollars) so can someone please help me with this and I would prefer by phone instead of emailing.  I just don't have the time to keep emailing back and forth - PLEASE

Hi there, pdietz7911.

Thank you for taking the time to try the steps shared above. I'll provide another troubleshooting step so you're able to preview a custom invoice.

Since the issue persists, I suggest accessing your QuickBooks account via a private or incognito window to check if this is a browser-related issue. At times, data stored for a long period causes unusual behavior to the browser. And, browsing privately disables the cache from saving your browsing data.

You can use either of these keyboard shortcuts:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Option + P

If it works, go back to the regular browser and clear its cache. We advise customers to clear them out periodically to prevent and fix web issues.

Once done, I suggest changing or updating the PDF viewer in your browser. Here's how:

  1. From the browser menu, go to Tools or Options.
  2. Choose Options.
  3. Select Applications.
  4. Change Portable Document Format (PDF) to Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat.
  5. Click Print.

You can also use other supported, up-to-date browsers as an alternative.

On the other hand, I recommend going to the Help icon. From there, you have the option to enter your phone number to request a callback.

Here's how to contact them:

1. Open your QuickBooks Account.

2. At the top right, click the Help icon.

3. Type your concern in the Type something field.

4. Click I still need a human.

5. Hit Contact us.

6. You'll be routed into the How can we hep? page. Then, choose Get a callback.

7. Fill in the information. Then, click the Confirm my call button.

Hi Pam,

I can see the urgency of your concern. However, please know that we're not doing outbound calls or emails in the Community. I'll help you with an option to connect to our Support team.

Instead of going through the steps provided by my colleagues, please contact our Payroll Support team. They can also help you with the invoice preview and start a screen-sharing session when necessary. They are available on weekdays from 6 AM to 6 PM PST.

If you have other concerns, please don't hesitate to go back to this thread.
