How do I change my default email for quickbooks 2021?

I have QuickBooks desktop 2021 for macOS Big sur. when I go to write an invoice, It defaults to my personal Gmail, not my business Gmail. But when I email a statement, It defaults to my business Gmail like it should. What's going on and how can I fix this?

Once the system detects multiple email addresses, QuickBooks  uses the default account. If you want to change the default email, you can follow these steps:

 

  1. Open Apple Mail.
  2. Go to Mail, then choose Preferences.
  3. Select General, and then Apple Mail beside the default email reader.
  4. Then, close the page, and resend your invoices.

 

In case you want to  personalize your invoices, you can customize their templates before sending them out.

Apple mail was already selected as the default email reader. sorry, there was a communication issue. I meant to ask how to change the default email Address in quickbooks when writing an invoice.

  1. Go to QuickBooks, then select Preferences.
  2. Click the Email icon.
  3. Go to Send Emails Using, then select Custom.
  4. A list of Email Accounts appears. If you haven't added any email accounts to QuickBooks, this list will be empty.
  5. Click the Plus (+) icon to add a new account.
  6. Add an account name, then add the settings from your email provider.

In the top area of the Send Window of QuickBooks Mac, you can choose a from account when you send transactions. You'll want to change your mail preference to assign the correct email address for sending transactions. Go to QuickBooks and select Preferences under Mail.
