How do I remove a customer?

I can provide additional information about where you can find the Edit option as mentioned by my colleague above.

You can find the Edit option from the drop-down arrow under the Action column. I attached a screenshot below for additional reference.

If you're unable to see the Edit option, I suggest logging in your QuickBooks in a private browser to see if we get the same result. And, this method prevents cookies from being stored on your computer, making it a great place to identify browser problems.

Here's how to use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using:

For Internet Explorer of Firefox, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

If it works in incognito, you can check this article: Clear my browser cache and temporary Internet files. This provides steps on how to clear the cache in your regular browser so that your QBSE account performs well. If the steps above didn't work, use another supported browser as alternatives.

From your other concern, as mentioned above, we are unable to delete a customer in QuickBooks Self-Employed. This is because the customer and their info are manually entered in the invoice every time you create one. Thus there is no customer/client list. The only option is to change the client's details from within the invoice.

Allow me to provide you some information about deleting a customer in your account.

The way that QuickBooks Self Employed stores customer information is different from our normal QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop products. You don't have access to a customer list, rather you just choose the customer from the drop-down on your sales forms. That being said, there isn't a way to remove a customer at this moment. I see how this would be beneficial to businesses like yours and we love hearing your feedback, as it's what helps us improve and design a better product. I'll pass along this idea to our Development Team for possible implementation in the future.

Meanwhile, what you can do is to modify the customer name in the invoice.

Here's how:

Open your account.
At the left navigation pane, choose Invoices.
Choose the customer, then select Edit at the Action dropdown.
From there, you can edit the name of the customer.
You can choose, either Send invoice or Save as draft.

Hello, I'm really having a hard time here… I can't find the Edit button with him we invoices tab... nothing seems to work.

I want wrote a long letter from my iPhone app, there were another letter here a few minutes ago on the webpage, for them didn't go through. Through frustrating… no, I do really appreciate your response to my query.

The reason I want to get rid of this customer is because I think I'm being hacked, or scammed. This person approach me to do some artwork. I asked for a deposit is it fine. He wouldn't send a check read newspaper he wouldn't even talk to me on the phone… he insisted I get quickbooks self-employed. When I put this information into quickBooks self-employed I notice it is email what is encrypted. Who is after me to put in my bank information, and when I didn't I stopped hearing from him. Anyway, I feel like QuickBooks self-employed repeat really helpful app. I want to use it, but not until I get this person out of my database.

I will try to send this again… I hope you get it. And hoping you could let me know if you think quickBooks self-employed can be hacked. Thank you so much for your help!
