How do I send an open invoice statement via email to a customer?

Sending an invoice or statement via email is so easy, fbarnese.

 

You'll have to make sure that you've entered an email address and select Save and send to email an invoice or statement to your customer. 

 

To email an invoice to your customer, follow these steps:

  1. Select Sales on the left menu, then choose Invoices.
  2. Find the invoice in the list of transactions.
  3. Select the drop-down in the Actions column then choose Send to email the invoice to the customer

If you want to email customer statements, here's how you can do it.

  1. Go to the Sales menu, select the Customers tab.
  2. Select the checkboxes for the customer or customers you want to make statements for.
  3. In the Batch actions dropdown, select Create statements.
  4. In the Statement Type dropdown, select the type of statement you'd like to make:
    • Balance Forward: A list of invoices and payments with balance for date range selected
    • Open Item: A list of open, unpaid invoices from the last 365 days
    • Transaction Statement: A list of transactions between the selected dates
  5. Fill in the date fields and select Apply.
  6. Click Save and send.

Hi open then  Save and send ▼ and then Save and share link. You can copy the link or select Copy link. Customers can view and pay for their invoices from the link or

I can send an invoice via e-mail, but I cannot send a statement via e-mail.

Hello there. @LLEACH11. Thanks for joining the thread.

 

To isolate the issue of why you're unable to email statements in QuickBooks Online (QBO), let's try opening your account in a private (incognito) window. Using a safe browser and accessing the program from there can usually fix the issue.

 

Check out these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Command + Shift + N (Safari)
  • Ctrl+ Shift + N (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox) 

Once done, try to create a statement again and review the customer's email addresses. Once verified, choose Save and send. You can also see this article for more details: Create and send customer statements in QuickBooks Online.

 

If it works, go back to your default browser and clear the cache. See Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online for more information. Otherwise, switch to a different browser like Firefox, Google Chrome, or Safari. The one you are currently on may be having a temporary issue with QuickBooks, and using a new browser for the moment will allow you to get back to work.

  1. Go to Sales or Invoicing Customers tab.
  2. Choose the tick boxes for the customers you wish you send statements to.
  3. Under Batch Actions, select Create Statement. Verify that the customer's email addresses are accurate.
  4. Click Print or Preview.
  5. To email, click Save and Send.

Hey there, MMtreasurer. 

 

You can run the Open Invoices report and customize it. Then email it. Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to Reports on the left panel.
  2. Type Open Invoice in the search field. 
  3. Set the Report period. 
  4. Click Customize. 
  5. Tap Run report. 
  6. Press the Email icon and enter the select Email
  7. Enter the email address and Send
