4 page invoices do not need amount due on each page, how do i get it to print only on the last page of the invoice?

On my invoicing, when the invoice is more than one page, I  want the Amount Due to only appear at the bottom of the last page, not on each and every page! Is that possible?

Hi donna,

It's a pleasure to have you here in the Community. Let me share with you some information about the invoice settings.

Right now, the option for printing the total amount on the last page is not available in QuickBooks Pro and Premier version. However, if you're using QuickBooks Enterprise, you can update the settings by following these steps:

  1. Click List at the top, and choose Template.
  2. Double-click the invoice template you want to edit.
  3. Click the Additional Customization button located at the bottom.
  4. Click the Print tab.
  5. Check the box for Only show Total on the last page.
  6. Click OK.

In case you need a little help walking through the steps, I've attached a sample screenshot below.

If you have additional questions or other concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. Thanks.

4 page invoices do not need amount due on each page, how do i get it to print only on the last page of the invoice?

This seems to no longer be an option, but just happens automatically (which makes sense).  However, now field LABELS show on all pages and field DATA shows only on the last page.  ;-(

4 page invoices do not need amount due on each page, how do i get it to print only on the last page of the invoice?

So... is there a way to put the totals back on each page? You're right, it is defaulting now to only print on the last page.

You're right - it seems to be defaulting. So is there a way to get it to print on each page, some of us want that option to print the total on all pages.

Thanks

Hi there, @jwalker1530.

Thanks for joining this conversation. I'm here to share some information about printing invoice in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Just to confirm, may I know what version of QuickBooks you're using right now? If you're using QuickBooks Enterprise, you can uncheck the Only show Total on the last page option the invoice template that you're using. To do this, here's how:

1. Go to List menu at the top, then pick Templates on the drop-down.
2. Double-click the invoice template you're using and click Additional Customization button at the bottom.
3. Go to the Print tab, then remove the checkmark on Only show Total on the last page.
4. Select OK once done.

I also added some sample screenshots for your guide.

Just in case you need, you can also check out this article that tackles customizing templates in QBDT: Use and customize form templates.

On the other hand, this option is currently unavailable to other versions of QuickBooks. If you're using the Pro or Premier version, I encourage you submit feedback directly to our Product Developers Team for consideration in future updates. I'm going to submit from my side as well.

To send feedback, here's how:

1. At the top menu bar, go to Help, then click Send Feedback Online.

2. Enter your request/product suggestion, then click Next.

3. Choose Skip and send a message and select Feedback as the Category.

That should do it! Please let me know how it goes by leaving a comment below. I'm always here if you need further assistance. Take care and have a great day.

The version is QB Enterprise: Manufacturing and Wholesale 19.0

The box is UNCHECKED and totals still do not print.

Hi there, @jwalker1530.

Allow me to join the thread and help share information about printing invoices in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise.

For QuickBooks Enterprise, the total amount will just appear/print on the last page of the invoice created.

If you wish to print the total amount on every page, you may submit your feedback straight to our product engineers/developers for future updates. To send your product feedback, you may follow the steps provided by our colleague FritzF above.

As always, feel free to add a comment/post if you have any other concerns, we're always here to help. Have a great day ahead!

Hello, how do I remove the balance from all of the invoice pages on the quickbooks for Mac 2021?  The clients are getting confused, thinking it's multiple invoice amounts. Thank you.

4 page invoices do not need amount due on each page, how do i get it to print only on the last page of the invoice?

Hello, I'm still trying to figure this out. No one has gotten back to us.... For instance, we've been sending invoices to clients.. all pages of the invoice reflect the balance due.

It used to be, that only the last page of the invoice would show the total balance due. Now, it's showing on all pages and the clients are getting confused.

How do we remove this from the 2021 quickbooks for Mac?

I recently received a multi-page invoice.  I do not know what software they were using, but the amount due on the first page referred you to the last page for total.

Many of my customers do not look at the last page and pay the amount they see in the body of the invoice on the first page...is there a way to do that in quickbooks?

4 page invoices do not need amount due on each page, how do i get it to print only on the last page of the invoice?

I use Desktop Pro Plus 2023. On a similar note, I would like to see the quote templates only show the header on the first page.  It takes up half the page and then causes more pages to have to be used for multiple-page quotes.  I have always had to create a quote in Excel to give out to customers because of this.  Then I have to do double-entry into Quickbooks to have it recorded. I have asked for this add before.  Why can't we get this simple thing resolved for users?
