In QuickBooks Online, tracking your income and expenses for different departments is made easier using the Class or Location tracking. These two features let's you run through account balances by department, business office or location, separate properties, or any other meaningful breakdown of your business, and other segments you want to keep a close eye on.

 

To turn these features on, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Tap the Gear icon and choose Account and Settings.
  2. Go to the Advanced tab and pick Categories.
  3. Check the Track classes or Track Locations to turn on class tracking. 
  4. Select Save and then Done.

Im using quickbook essential package for one branch. now planning to setup another branch. How can i setup the other branch in same subscription or do i need to setup anything else. is it possible to file vat for both branched under one company?

I'm here to share some information about having multiple company files to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) subscription.

 

QBO only allows one Company per subscription. For the second branch, you will need to sign up for a new QBO account. This means each Company you'll create will have its own subscription. But if you already have an existing account, you can use the same login credentials when signing up and switching between Companies.

 

Here's how:

  1.  Go to https://quickbooks.intuit.com/online/.
  2. Choose a version of QuickBooks.
  3. On the signup page, select Sign in.
  4. Enter your login information and follow the on-screen prompts to set up the second company.
  5.  And then to log-in to your account: http://qbo.intuit.com. You will have the option to select your companies.

 

 

Also, I suggest reaching your tax agency about the VAT concern to know if you can file to the two branches.

If the second branch has the same tax id with the first one, you may utilize the Class feaure. Otherwise, you need to open a new account.

Realy I have many branches with the same tax id, but different customers & vendors but with the same chart of  account how can I separate each one of branch as the company have 20 users and needs to make every two or three users work on one branch.

As the company needs authorized access for every branch and finally needs a way to make a consuldation for all branches.

Based on the details you've provided above, the subscription that suits your company is the QuickBooks Online Advanced. Export the reports to XLS and consolidate them, or install the trial license of QBD Enterprise and utilize the consolidation feature.

I am going to purchase copy of QB desktop pro 2020 and I want to ask if this version can read Arabic and if no how can I make it read Arabic at least name of vendors &customers and the descriptions.

Yes, you're correct if you want to use QuickBooks Online Global the price for this is 15$ per monthly and 6 users including your accountant.

Also, for QBO Plus US version, you'll pay 35$ per month and you can set up to 5 billable users and 2 accountants. For more information, please refer to this article link: How many users can I set up?

 

You can create a trial account for each one of them. This will give you the ability to test all versions and choose which one works best for your business. Please note that the two version doesn't have the same features.

At this time, QuickBooks Desktop doesn't read Arabic names and descriptions. The default language used by the software is set to English.
