I set up my QuickBooks online about a year ago. we have not used it yet... I want to clear all the information out and start over...

I set up my QuickBooks online about a year ago. we have not used it yet... I want to clear all the information out and start over...

Let me share a few information on how to clear your QuickBooks Online account.

 

The option to purge the entire file is applicable if the account is within 60 days old (90 for non-US accounts). In your case, since the account is set up for more than a year now, there are several ways to alter the information to start fresh.

 

Option 1: Manually deleting the information in the program. The steps below will guide you how to remove entries and elements in QBO:

 

Option 2: Find a third-party deleter app to remove the data inside QuickBooks. Click this link to our site: QuickBooks Online Applications

 

Option 3: Cancelling the account and signing up for a new one.

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Click the Gear icon at the top right section of your Dashboard.
  3. Tap Account and Settings.
  4. Choose Billing & Subscription.
  5. In the Payroll section, click Cancel or Cancel trial.
  6. Hit Continue to cancel.
  7. Answer the short survey, and select Confirm cancel.

For information and instructions on how to cancel a QBO account, see this link: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription.

 

If you choose the third option, but was recently billed for the subscription, please contact us directly to discuss concerns about refund and billing. Our phone representatives can pull up your account with us and can check your subscription history to see if you're eligible for reimbursements.

 

Here's how to contact Support:

 

  1. Click the (?) Help icon in the upper right-hand corner of the Dashboard.
  2. From there, select the Contact Us button and enter your concern in the description box.

  3. Once done, select Start messaging or Get a call option.

 

To ensure we address your concern on time, check out our support hours.

You are unable to purge it. Cancel your current account and open a new one instead.
