Including cash sales in my gopayment transaction report

Hi, I need to run reports showing all transactions (cash and card) from shows I do using GoPayment. I can only seem to access the CC payments. Is there a way to get the report to show both? Thanks

I'd like to share a report for your situation.

 

With the GoPayment app, you can take cash, check, and credit card payments wherever and whenever you need to. To view these transactions, you can run the Deposits report. This lists all your daily deposits when we put them in your bank account and the totals. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to the Merchant Service Center.
  2. Go to Activities & Reports > Deposits.
  3. Set the Dates and click Search.

Thanks. I understand how to run payments, find the CC sales and deposits, etc. I've been using the app for years. For one show I do I am now required to provide a report that lists ALL the transactions including cash sales I enter into the app. After doing this for 4 days I really like option to send cash customers a receipt and tracking everything in one place. The transactions are listed on my phone in the app, but I can't access them online. It's pointless for me to continue to use the app for recording cash if I can't get a total and report all in one place. I know square can do this. Is it a better option for me? Thanks

Let me help you from here, UtahKISSfan.

 

Aside from the Deposit page, you can go to the Transactions page as well. It will show you all transactions in your Payments accounts. Here's how:

  1. Click Activity & Reports.
  2. Select Transactions.

You can filter the dates to show you the transactions you want to view. Also, you can Export or Print the details or report. 

 

With regards to receipts, if a customer pays through an online invoice, they will receive a notification/receipt to the email you send the invoice to. 

 

Moving over to Square, you can integrate it with QuickBooks Online. Once it's linked, Square sales and settlements are imported to our program.

Thanks for your quick reply. I really appreciate your help. I've been using your platform for years and am very familiar with it. I understand how to access my transactions, send receipts and everything like that. I'm not having any luck getting cash transactions included in the report. I need ALL transactions including cash sales included in the report to submit to a show I just did, not only CC sales. CC transactions are all that are coming up. I'm assuming there is a way to have the cash transactions included, but I don't see any way to do it. I've never had an issue in the past, but I've never included cash sales through the app.  have never needed to do this until now. Thanks

Hello, UtahKISSfan.

 

In Merchant Services, it'll show only for online transactions and invoices. If you want to pull up cash transactions, you can run the Sales by Customer Detail report and filter the Payment Method to cash and credit card.
 
  1. Go to the Reports menu and find Sales by Customer Detail.
  2. On the report, click the Customize button.
  3. Update the Report period.
  4. Mark the methods you want in the Payment Method drop-down.
  5. Apply other filters then click on Run report.

 

You can also refer to this article for more details in personalizing reports in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

 

It’s also a great idea to save the current settings of the report. This way, you won’t have to go through the customization process again when running the same data. To be guided, check out this resource for reference: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online.
