Re: Is it possible to create pricing that varies by customer type?

Hello cforn3,

In QuickBooks Online, there's a beta feature for price rules. It let's you assign varies products and services to different customer type. You'll have to turn on this feature in the company settings. Here's how:

  1. Click on the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Account and Settings.
  3. In the Sales section, check the Turn on price rule box.
  4. Click on Save

Then, set up a price rule:

  1. Click on the Gear icon.
  2. Choose All List.
  3. Select Price Rules.
  4. Click on New price rule.
  5. Enter the rule name, select the customers (or select the customer type), choose the products and services, set the sales price or rate, and click on Apply.
  6. Click on Save and close.

Here's an article for FAQs about this feature: Set Pricing Rules

If this option isn't available in your account, I encourage you to send a product suggestion about it. Please click on the Gear icon and select Feedback
