Purchase Order Report

Is there a way to export Purchase orders to an Excel file with the MPN included, so I can copy and paste to my vendor's site without having to retype my whole PO.?

Purchase Order Report

I can see the advantage of exporting the purchase order report with the MPN to show as well,  MMHM90.

If you've added a column for MPN when you create a purchase order, the number will show on the purchase order page. However, it won't be visible in the purchase order report.

As a workaround, you can export the Open Purchase Orders Detail and Item Listing with MPN report and consolidate the two outside QuickBooks. That way, you can copy and paste it every time you create a purchase order.

To pull up the Open Purchase Orders Detail report:

  1. Hover over to Reports, then select Report Center
  2. Type in Open Purchase Orders Detail in the search bar, and click the Run icon.
  3. Click Excel, then select Create New Worksheet and Export

To pull up the Item Listing with MPN report:

  1. Hover over to Reports, then select Report Center
  2. Type in MPN in the search bar, and click run the Item Listing with MPN.
  3. Click Excel, then select Create New Worksheet and Export

Moreover, you can memorize the reports you've customized. This way, you won't have to do the customization process again.

I'll gladly assist you further in generating purchase orders and MPN in QuickBooks Desktop. You can tap the reply button below to enter your queries. I'm always here to back you up.
