Sometimes, suspicious emails are a scam designed to induce you to divulge personal information. These scams can take many different shapes, but they frequently have a convincing appearance. In case you are uncertain whether an email originated from Intuit, consider checking these points to identify suspicious activity, phishing scams, and potential fraud.
Also, all official Intuit websites end in *intuit.com. A few examples include quickbooks.intuit.com, e3.intuit.com, and click.notifications.intuit.com. You can check out our online security tips to help you keep your information safe.
Do you have any questions concerning an Intuit email? For information about strange emails that other Intuit customers have reported, check out our security notices.
Moreover, suspicious emails will say they are from Intuit and may ask you to take actions like logging in, providing personal information, or downloading 'tools'. If you have received one of these emails, don't open it or access any of the links. Go to the Intuit Online Security Center for more information.

I'm aware of all that. I'm very careful. Are you saying that QB did NOT send my clients surveys after they made credit card payments against the invoices I emailed to them??
The survey LOOKS like it's from my company. It is not.
We use QB for invoicing and for payments. If QB didn't submit the survey, how is it possible that they've received it?? Again, all invoicing and credit card payments are QB at this time.

Typically, QuickBooks Online collects information about the features users utilize, how the users navigate through the product, and other demographic and quantitative data for product purposes. This data includes details on the features used, navigation patterns, and other relevant quantitative information to enhance services and products offered by Intuit, the company behind QuickBooks. Importantly, the collected data is not identifiable to employees, customers, or vendors

If your client has any doubts about an email message, tell them not to open the message until they make sure it's from Intuit. Learn how to recognize and report suspicious emails.
Please note that if needed, Intuit Support can help you determine if the email is from Intuit or a possible phishing email that needs to be forwarded to our security team for assessment.

We’ve had the same experience. I sent myself an invoice to look further into it. The survey popped up after i made payment. I noticed it said ‘Powered by Qualtrics’ so i did some digging. Btw…no one at QB that i spoke with has any knowledge of this. https://www.qualtrics.com/au/customers/intuit-quickbooks/
Thanks!! QB just keeps telling me to caution our clients about link/internet safety. That's not the issue.

I paid a test invoice, too. I did NOT get the survey. I'll try again.
How is it possible that another company has wedged it's way between QB, us, and our clients to interject a survey?? Kind of terrifying.

My first thought was it looked like it was coming from us and asking if the customer knew of any referrals (if you answer yes, it asks for name, email and phone number of potential customer) Goes on to ask if you will continue doing business with us, also a yes or no question. Even after filling out my info as a potential referral, i (my company) received no notification via email of the referral. So where the hell is that info going?? I saw all the responses you received

If you feel comfortable posting your email address, please do. I think you’re right. I think they are setting themselves up for a lawsuit. I created a dummy invoice and paid it. I didn’t get the survey. But my clients are!? And, again, it looks like it’s coming from us?! Where is that information going!? Thanks again for being so diligent.

They removed my email address. Do you use mailchimp? Leads are being added there. So, not all awful, but still deceptive in my opinion.
A client of mine just got one of these too and I’m absolutely infuriated this is happening. Is there seriously no way to stop this?

QuickBooks Online offers a post-invoice survey feature that automatically collects customer feedback when they pay a QuickBooks Payments invoice. This survey is optional and here's how you can turn it off:

Why would this be defaulted to on rather than defaulted to off? Unbelievably irritating.

The Post-Invoice Paid Survey feature was rolled out for only 10% of QBO users, meaning not all customers can access it by default. However, you've been included as part of a preset list. This feature enables small business owners to track customer feedback.

This absolutely needed to be better communicated to users. Had this survey gone to a more critical client... that would've been a disaster.
Not only should it have been communicated to give us the option of turning it off, but even at the very least to change the wording. It asked a customer when they intend on working with me again which is a totally stupid question in general, but especially when it was sent to a customer paying a retainer and just kicking off their working relationship with us. SO awkward and totally unnecessary.
Why is this the thing you guys are rolling out (when we didn't ask for it) when there's still basics like letting us hide non-zero accounts on reports that are being withheld for only the highest-paid tiers?
