Learn how to share your data with Intuit in QuickBooks Desktop.
We’ll use your data to improve your experience and to enhance our products and services. This will also help us recommend products, services, and promotional offers that we believe will add value to your business. We won't sell, publish, or share data you entrust to us that identifies you or any person without your explicit permission.
Note: This feature is only available for the admin user of the company file.
What data is collected?
We collect information about the features you use, how you navigate through our product, and other demographic and quantitative data. We also collect information about your license, product, system, or other technical data that help us direct you to the appropriate information or services. We don't collect data that is identifiable to your employees, customers, or vendors.
How is the data transmitted?
The transmission of data is secured and encrypted. Data transmission takes place in the background without disturbing your current tasks and shouldn't affect the performance of your computer.
How do I share my usage data with Intuit?
Here’s how to share your usage data to help us improve our product.
QuickBooks Desktop for Windows
- From the Help menu, select QuickBooks Usage & Analytics Study.
- Select Continue.
QuickBooks Desktop for Mac
- From the QuickBooks menu, select Preferences.
- In the Preferences window, select Feedback.
- Select the Enable sending usage data to Intuit checkbox.
- Close the Preferences window.
How do I stop sharing my usage data?
If you prefer not to share your usage data, or if you change your mind about participating in the study, you can turn it off. Here’s how.
Note: Once you turn it off, you can't turn it on again.
QuickBooks Desktop for Windows
- From the Help menu, select QuickBooks Usage & Analytics Study.
- Select Discontinue.
QuickBooks Desktop for Mac
- From the QuickBooks menu, select Preferences.
- In the Preferences window, select Feedback.
- Clear the Enable sending usage data to Intuit checkbox.
- Close the Preferences window.
