Authorize U.S. Bank SinglePoint data sharing in QuickBooks

Only a System Administrator in U.S. Bank SinglePoint can authorize QuickBooks Online to access your company's U.S. Bank corporate account data. Once they do, everyone with SinglePoint access at your company can see that data in QuickBooks Online.

Why this matters

U.S. Bank's Corporate Data Sharing solution uses a three-legged OAuth authorization framework to let you securely connect QuickBooks Online to your U.S. Bank corporate accounts — including balances, transactions, and statements. Because this connection shares sensitive corporate financial data, only a System Administrator can set it up.

Who can authorize data sharing between U.S. Bank SinglePoint and QuickBooks Online?

Only a System Administrator within your organization in U.S. Bank SinglePoint can complete the authorization process. During setup, you start in the QuickBooks Online Link account experience and are redirected to the U.S. Bank SinglePoint sign-in page. After you sign in, only users with the System Administrator role can consent to and authorize data sharing between U.S. Bank and QuickBooks Online.

Once a System Administrator completes authorization, everyone with SinglePoint access at your company can see your eligible U.S. Bank corporate account data in QuickBooks Online.

Why can't I see U.S. Bank data in QuickBooks Online anymore?

If data you could previously see in QuickBooks Online is no longer visible, your System Administrator likely disabled or revoked the data-sharing connection between U.S. Bank and QuickBooks Online. Contact your System Administrator and ask them to re-enable the connection.

Why is authorization limited to System Administrators?

Setting up this connection authorizes QuickBooks Online to access sensitive corporate banking and financial information, so only someone with the appropriate authority in your organization can complete it. Under the SinglePoint role framework, System Administrators manage user access, permissions, and administrative controls — including approving third-party access to company banking information and making data-sharing decisions on your organization's behalf.

If you're not designated as a System Administrator in SinglePoint, you can't authorize this connection yourself. Contact the person at your organization who serves as your SinglePoint System Administrator. They can review your request and, if appropriate, complete the authorization on your company's behalf.
