At this time, this specific feature you mentioned isn't available yet in QuickBooks. I can see how it can be useful both to you and other users as well. Rest assured, our engineering team is working delightfully to implement this in future innovations.   

In the meantime, as suggested by my colleague above, you can utilize a third party app as a workaround.

It seems the import journal entries is available in Canada but not in the U.S. can you confirm this? If so when might an import option for JE's be available in the U.S.?

WHY??  Why not be able to import in the US as well??? Goofy that you can't in the US.  May be time for class action against Intuit...

I understand that it would help a lot if there was an option to import journal entries. I wish there's a reason shared with us, so I can answer why it's currently not available to US accounts. For now, I recommend sending a feature request if you haven't already.

You mean into the black hole of requests and feedback that never gets responded to.  Oh believe me I have sent way more than my share.  

There are many frustrating things about QBO but this one is up there. I thought I would check back on this since it has been a couple of years(a lifetime as far as tech goes) since I looked into importing a journal entry.  It is still not available in the US??!!   As an employee I would think you would have a better chance than us consumers to run it up the pole and at least get an answer as to why not. My guess is profit from a 3rd party app. At least say so and make it prominent so we don't go chasing for solutions that are only available in the UK.

I totally agree. This is stupid. I decided to search again today and found the help for import on the UK site and got excited that I could use the feature finally, then realized, NOPE still no love for the JE Import feature. This is stupid. 

I feel the same way.  Also, contact callbacks are hit-and-miss on this subject.  So far, I have been hung up on once before anything was said, and apparently my attempt at another callback is going to be ignored.  There has to be some answer on this.

I know how important it is to import journal entries to QuickBooks Online, lmancini220.

As of now, this feature is only available in selected regions, Canada and UK. We don't have a specific time frame when this option will be available in the US version.

In the meantime, I'd recommend looking for a third-party application that offers this feature. Then, integrate if with the program. Here's how:

1. Go to the Apps menu at the left pane to get to the Finds Apps page.
2. Enter a keyword in the Search address (i.e import).
3. Select the app you wanted to use.
4. Click Get app now.

I have already found someone who does, and tested it.  It works quite well, and I don't know if giving them a plug is allowed, so I won't - unless you say that I can.  I was impressed with the ease (and affordability) of their product.  A product which QBO should be offering as part of the package.

Yes, me too.  Please state the app.

If it's not kosher to plug, then someone can just delete this.  I have no affiliation with them whatsoever - this is just me saying they're good.  The company's name is Business Importer.  It's remarkably easy to use, IMO.

We use ADP for payroll, so entering the various allocations as JV's can be daunting because it comes out to 300+ allocations.  I did it with Business Importer in about 14 seconds instead of 4 hours.
