PayPal is not showing up on my invoices even though it’s set up correctly

Thanks for your time posting in the Community, eshookdsmwin. Allow me to help you with this issue so you can see the Paypal option on your invoices.

Once your QuickBooks Payments account is setup and approved, you'll want to ensure that PayPal is enabled for all new sales. Here are the steps you can follow:

  1. First, ensure that you're on the new invoice experience.
  2. Go to the Gear icon, then Accounts and Settings.
  3. Select Sales, then select Accept PayPal to make PayPal available for all new sales transactions.

When customers open your email, they can use PayPal as an option in their invoices.

If the issue persists, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Payments Support team. This way, they'll be able to investigate this query further and find possible fixes.

If you need more help with QuickBooks Payments, check out this resource that contains a list of articles that may help you with the most commonly asked Payments questions: QuickBooks Payments FAQ.

You can always reply or reach out to us again if you need more help handling invoices. I want to ensure that this has been taken care of. Don't hesitate to leave a comment below, and I'll get back to you. Take care always.

PayPal is not showing up on my invoices even though it’s set up correctly

I have already done all those things. It worked before but now it doesn’t give the customer the option  for PayPal.

when I view the invoice as a payor it shows up but when the customer opens the invoice and clicks pay invoice it’s not there

Thank you for your prompt response, Eshook.

I recognize that PayPal payment is an option when a customer clicks the email to pay their invoice.

Since this disappeared from the customer's end, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Payments & Merchant Service Center Support team. They have the tools to pull up your account and investigate what causes PayPal to disappear from the option when a customer pays their invoices.

Here's how:

  1. Login to QBO.
  2. Click the Help (?) icon on the top right and then go to the Search tab.
  3. Hit Contact Us.
  4. Enter your payment processing concern.
  5. Hit Continue.
  6. Choose to Start a chat or Have us call you.

You can check our payments support hours for more details.

For additional resources about hurdles like this, feel free to visit this article to fix issues when customers get problems paying their bills online: What to do if your customers can't pay their invoice online.

Please let us know if you have other QuickBooks concerns. We're always open to help you more. Take care always and stay healthy.

They were doing maintenance on PayPal and quickbooks.  I spent hours trying to figure this out and  had to call in to get this info, is this posted anywhere for me to see? Maintenance was being done for 6 days, so we not get notice?

PayPal is connected.

PayPal is setup.

There is nothing left to setup with PayPal app connection.

Yet the "Accept PayPal" setting is NOT AVAILABLE as the documentation states it should be:

PayPal is not showing up on my invoices even though it’s set up correctly

I'm having the same problem - setting allow PayPal and Venmo, but neither show on the test invoice or the client invoice. I'm hoping this is not an ongoing issue as I stopped accepting PayPal and Venmo directly from customers, thinking they were going to be available through QB invoicing. I am new to QB. I have lots of customers who like paying through PayPal and Venmo, and needed to send a client an invoice tonight. Thanks for the help

PayPal is not showing up on my invoices even though it’s set up correctly

Good lord, how long do defects stay open at Intuit?

There are countless other invoicing products out there.  They don't have yearlong struggles with PayPal.  Most of us here have likely moved on. I was up and running with a competitor the same day.
